As I said pity it was not on that clip, I thought he was clear when the lad brought him down.

 

That player was the worst winger I’ve seen all season. Absolute shocker of a player.

 

Fair enough, I honestly think it's dross football, they struggled with our high press in the first half, like I say felt they made a lot of their own problems, and I wasn't at all impressed by their defenders, though Tozer was okay I guess. He was the more physical one of the back line.

I'll give them credit that they were pretty much consistent throughout the team, they all had a reasonable first touch, good short range passing, very poor mid-to-long range passing, and (whatever) crossing.

Number 10, Campbell, was a fabulous spectator despite having several opportunities on the ball.

I didn't envy a thing about Cheltenham today, and found they'd been significantly overhyped after our loss at theirs.

 

Again at the stats. I think we played more direct and via the channels as opposed to previous weeks. We also didn't play pointless balls back and between our back four when unnecessary (surely this would've boosted that percentage). But I think with our pitch in its current state, passing accuracy should be the least of our concerns.

Going by the stats, we retained the ball quite well last Saturday. But today we didn't. Still would much rather today's performance and endeavour over our possession based dominance of last Saturday.

 

Haha, first two attacks he was really direct, after that he turned into Jake Reeves and just did a lot of standing around with the ball at his feet wondering what trick to conjure up.

 

If City had played like Cheltenham did with an extra man i'd have been fuming. It was pointless football from them, City let them have the possession and regularly let them out wide knowing they had little intention to create anything. Just a shame they couldn't hang on.

Completely agree. I feel if you weren't there then you wouldn't understand what type of game it was. A very odd game, barely felt real.

I will see how we do at Oldham before I continue about Bowyer out and all that.

Spot on, pointless football is dead right.

Passes for the sake of passing, no idea, no big picture, no master plan, their second half performance made it easier for us to defend and not harder because they allowed us to concentrate nine players in the box.

Nothing dynamic about what they were trying to do, it's football by numbers. It's rubbish. It's pub players trying to emulate Man City.

 

In the second half, what was going on between AOC and the keeper. They seemed to be arguing over something at goal kicks, or was it just a time wasting tactic?

 

Yeah, I imagine listening to that can't have been any fun, but actually I spent the second half largely laughing out loud (intentionally) at Cheltenham launching wave after wave of piss poor attacks.

It seemed to annoy a couple of players, so I carried on. Apologies if it was annoying to anyone around me!

 

It was as though they played the entire game hoping for a draw. A good team would have stretched us tonight with an extra man, in truth thats the most comfortable i've seen us in weeks. They were lucky with the goal as well, it was a great save at first from McGhee.
