Desperate as he sees him as a good player and sees him as positive for the not desperate to just get a player playing because he's been out injured.

I don't think it highlights how all over the shop he is but maybe highlights that we have too many options in that position.

Too many poor options. Not enough good ones.

POC is another one. Praised and tipped to be captain last season and can't get into a div 2 side that's in 7th this.

I agree it's his tactics and instructions that's making the players struggle.

Cooke is a decent player but Bowyer sounds like he wants him out. It's like he's out of touch with the game.

@JonButterfield@JonButterfield may think nothing is wrong as we have games in hand but your post sums it up for me. Poor recruitment, shocking tactics and players under performing still.

The next few games are key or we could end up as mid table cannon fodder in div 2.

Just make sure @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler that Rhodes understands Doyle needs to come back and Bowyer needs to be more positive as he is more negative than me and fans are starting to get concerned with his tactics.

We don't have a forward on the bench. Our bench is poor yet we signed all these players.

    Buy cheap, buy twice.

How's he a good player. He's been out for 2 years mate. It's desperate!

Think wanting Reeves back in so soon highlights how poorly Bradford City have spent their money in that area.

Counter agrument. Bar Cooke and BRE all the improvers have improved massively under Bowyer add in Pritchard and Connolly.
Taylor hasn't played yet! Devine was already here and is improved to be fair.

You've been moaning for nearly 2 years about him being out!!! Surely having him back is a good thing?

Reeves is a good player, at this level even after nearly 2 years out will be more than good enough.

I didn't think he was that great before his injury.

Tends to pass the ball sideways and just looks busy. Non creative and hardly scores goals.

I just don't see the big deal but yes having him back is a good thing but knowing he would be back and acting desperate to get him back highlights to be how poor our recruitment and issuing contracts has been.

You've mis interpretated my wording of desperate as I tried to explain. Bowyer hasn't said desperate.

You must have been watching the wrong player as he was creative.

Its difficult to judge as is injury looked like a slow burner getting rapidly worse each performance. All I can say is that is last club loved him and he played a few decent games for us and he is better than Devine/Akbab/Anderson no screw instuds,
So I would welcome him back asap.

Even to see him off in January if he does not want stop. Having had two years recovery all paid for by BCFC????

LOADSA MONEY you can have a half price Doyle too and we will pay da rest..........oh and 25 goals take it go on take it grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Bradford Charity City FC!!

we want to move a game- of course you can! Not to worry fans have booked hotels, paid for trains, booked days off work.. we're a charity football club, its fine.

Oh Swindon you can take our leading goalscorer from div 1. Give us a few bob to cover his wages, that's fine!

    Reeves will be laughing!

Everyone is laughing at us now - ginger Pele ha ha jokes! Club needs to get serious!

Fair points. I think the ROD and AOC improvements are largely down to playing at a poorer standard that more aligns to their ability, whilst also playing in a side that's more balanced defensively. Wood has improved, true - but its difficult to improve when you're not playing regularly in your normal position and in a reasonably competent side.

I don't see any real improvement in Devine at all. And Taylor was a completely pointless signing. A contract for a mate.

To be fair I think the same back 5 for the majority of the time helps too, I agree about the standard but they do look much better players. Taylor we'll have to see what he brings, I'd like to think he replaces Anderson and Akpan from January onwards.

Above all we need to get some consistency into our pattern of play. I'd go for Palmer/Reeves as DM, Cooke/Devitt as AM, Pritchard as LM and Connolly/Ismael as RM, all depending on form and availability . Then two from Vaughan, Donaldson, Oteh and possibly Doyle or a replacement in January. And stick with the system and let it develop and prosper.

Just hold it a moment or two, buddy.
I saw most of Reeves early games - Long before his injury. Here City had a player demanding the ball, and surging forward playing positive passes. However.......... One Saturday, it stopped - All change ......
I pointed this out on C&B all that time ago ...........

From that point on, Reeves game was all about supporting Law, and all passes went to him. Yes sideways ! You could see the frustration on Reeves face, as every move was slowed, then halted. It came as no surprise to ME that Reeves form took a dip. I suggested at the time it was a McCall decision to employ this ......... So when Reeves was injured the same game plan continued .......... Yeah, the slowing down, yet keeping possession, rather than press.

I honestly think that would bring top 3 and promotion.

That's why I still think it's slightly too early for us throw our toys out of the pram. It won't take much to turn it around to guarantee top a top 3 finish.

Look at them players, more than good enough for League 2 - it's just about getting the right balance when they are all back to fitness and available.

I don't think many have "thrown their toys out of the pram", they're just frustrated that we believe we can all see the issues holding us back but GB either knows better or is just reluctant to play an extra striker in case we are too open.
