This is rubbish. He played youngsters last season and one of them just signed for Tottenham. They have also just signed a 20 year old from Barcelona. I think its more these players aren't anywhere near that level.

I'm pretty sure it DID matter what players & manager we signed.

The reason we went down is dreadful player recruitment, a completely dysfunctional squad, players with horrendous attitudes, awful preseason preparation, and a refusal to let quality managers manage (not least within transfer windows, which always miraculously passed by before a new manager was appointed) - not to forget the puppet appointment of Collins.

You can attribute all those things to Edin, or you can accept the reality that last season's squad would get relegated 100 times out of 100. The worst in League One by a country mile, irrespective of the odd individual (but ill-fitting) talent.

Some of our fans thought the sun shone out of Edin’s arris and that Wright was simply played out of position....!

What a straight forward response. None of the usual smoke and mirrors stuff.

What if the move is a loan and we are paying his wages...?

Even if Rochdale pay 10% of his wages it’s better than having to pay it all and have the disruptive little runt anywhere near our squad.

May I just focus on your last point?

100 times out of 100, the worst in the league by a country mile.

Player for player. Reputation for reputation. Stature for stature. Please, tell me why we had such a high playing budget last season; and for lords sake, don’t mention that name starting with E - because it ain’t relevant.

Without wanting to turn this into another witch-hunt on Edin, can I ask YOU one question? .....

Given last pre-season’s player recruitment, were you also quietly optimistic on last seasons credentials, like the vast majority? ...’cos I was.

Some of the signings got me gomping then he set up the holy trinity of Abott Drury and Mickey Mouse and I began to worry personally.

As a little aside about Collins, my instructor when I was taking my forklift license last year had a connection with one of the youth team lads(relation of some kind iirc). According to him, Collins was very well liked by the youth lads and their families and was thought of as a good coach by everyone involved. Gave me a bit more sympathy for him as I always felt it was a case of he knew he'd be fecked but it was too big to say no to. Rahic being Rahic could have quite possibly said he's got no job at all if he said no but obviously that's speculation. Wouldnt put it past him though

More fool you. There were enough of us saying the squad was poor. Admittedly, not many (if any) expected us to struggle and finish bottom, but “quietly optimistic”.? Nah..!

We had a high playing budget because we spent a lot of money on dross - and the man holding the purse strings didn't actually know how much we were spending.

Factor in that the dross we signed, some of the worst players I have ever seen in a City shirt, mixed in with some of the worst attitudes I can remember in City history, didn't actually equate to a squad with a single suitable, sensible formation, and that's why we were last by a country mile, and would be every single season, 100 % of the time.

Does anyone know if Matty Longstaff from Newcastle is still on our radar? At one point we were rumoured to be leading the chase for him on loan. Defensive midfielder. GB worked with his brother at Blackpool.

I was just thinking about that yesterday.
Maybe we will see him joining on loan later this month?

No I wasnt. 4 or 5 of our signings looked great but our business was clearly incomplete. And the over riding problem was the shambolic approach to recruiting Collins and having Edin pulling the strings. Everything about us was amateur. I actually put 25 quid on us to be relegated - it’s paid for my ST this year. Not that I wanted to win the bet but I could see it happening from a mile off. And after I watched our first couple of home games I knew we were in trouble.

I - and others - called out our relegation during the second half of the previous season. You could see what was happening a mile off. Last season didn’t just happen - the ground work was laid over the previous 6-9 months.

If you didn't see that relegation was on the cards last summer or at least the second half of the season then you really need to question if you know about the game or you live on @Park bantam@Park bantam world on a cloud.

The squad was massively unbalanced, lacked pace, lacked height, lacked strength and lacked leadership. It was crystal clear.

If you couldn't see that when we appointed Collins which was the biggest joke in Bradford City history then no one can help you! You just knew with him stood there wearing his white trainers on the touch he looked lost. Him and Drury were clueless!

Relegation was well on the cards last summer and it was then stamped when we appoint Hopkin which was another joke appointment.

There was one reason and one reason only that we were relegated and that was because of the maniac at the control panel. You could say the damage was done as soon as Radish pinpointed us on his map of England, from that moment it was the beginning of the end. Only saving grace is it wasn't our fault as a club, he would have destroyed whichever club was unfortunate to targeted by the Luftwaffe, just happened to be us.

If you couldn't see you were either dumb, blind or in a coma.
