If this is true it’ll be a fabulous bit of business. We’d only need to force O’Connor out and I’d almost be able to forgive and forget about last season.....

Agree, if we only get rid of O'Connor and Riley I'll be fairly happy with that. Not fussed either way about the likes of Akpan, Doyle etc.

 

Probably go back to Spain to try his luck there?

 

I know their are individuals who make stuff up on here. I can recall someone ages ago saying Robinson would be “back soon!” - what a load of bull.

I frequent the same barbers as Ball and Riley and they have informed the lads of these points.

1. BALL going to NZ to play in their top division. Offered him same money as Rotherham plus house and car. He’s got his leaving do this week. Was selling his house anyway so going there on a 2 year deal.

2. RILEY has said he’s going to Rochdale. Not had a looking at City since he arrived and finds it “embarrassing” that he’s hardly played.

I’m not one to make things up this is the rumours forum and this is what they’ve both said.

 

I’m not sure that’s quite true. He played a fair few last year

 

NKP joined Carlisle , can’t wait for that game their centre pairing will have the turning circle of a tanker. NKP and Byron Webster will be the leakiest defence in the league.

 

And from the stories I’ve heard of I was Riley I’d be embarrassed about my attitude to the club and team mates and would grow up a bit. Life isn’t just about nice looking lasses and expensive fast cars....

If Riley said that's he's a first class loser, embarrased? Try showing some work rate before being embarrassed it might get you in the team or close to it.

When you can hit it as hard as you can, it doesn't matter what position on the pitch you play!

 

I liked Ball too, but he very rarely influenced games. Tidy, looked useful, but just not able to grab games by the scruff of the neck and make a difference.

Having said that, remember a cracking 90th minute equalizer.

 

Another one of those player with no fixed position not an out striker or midfielder

 

Or even a winger, you're right, just another who doesn't fit many formations.

Last season was shocking - make no mistake.

Talk of players not able to “Look useful” and “grab games by the scruff of the neck”....fact is, it didn’t really matter what player’s we signed or which managers we brought in - we were a poisoned chalice - and will continue to be if fan mindset doesn’t change. Do NOT underestimate fan unrest and what impact it can have.

 

Are you blaming last season on ‘fan unrest’?

Fan unrest is a key reason why Edin’s recklessness was brought to light before he caused even more damage on the club. All things considered, last seasons shower escaped with very little in the way of proper stick. Some even stayed for their ‘lap of shame’ and applauded.

 

Be brilliant to get Riley off of wage bill. Not worked at all that one
