    Agree with this. Those last couple of years in league 2, before the promotion season, we had a lot of poor quality. But what we had was a few players who were up for a battle and that saw us through. The likes of Andrew Davies, Bullock, Flynn were the type of battlers that we missed last season funnily enough.

    Parky binned him off at the first opportunity! Players like him where the reason we were nearly a non league side. Not saying he didnt try, he did, the problem is he just wasnt good enough.

    He started 19 games in Parky's first season. As I recall, it would have been many more but he had injury problems.
    His performances stood out as being markedly better than most of those around him as we dropped down the division and flirted with relegation. If others had been of his standard and effort we wouldn't have dropped so low, so I believe that calling him 'part of the problem' is incorrect.

    He was very limited as a player. Dropped well into non league after us. They were dark days for the playing staff. The fact that you remember him fondly simply because he looked like he was putting a shift in tells you how bad we were as a unit.

    This is correct. At the time I liked Bullock precisely because he put a shift in. But technically he was naff.

    Just less naff than the rest.

    Parky was stuck with him. Season end he was let go to York City. He was just less crap than the rest.
