    Wasn't it costing us around £400k a year to run reserve football though?

    A few have gone but looks like the best ones are being kept on. Ellington, Staunton, Goldthorp, Maltby

    Heard the same about Scannel. He came from a Premier League side, with a Championship career so no chance he coming here for £5k a week.

    If they're crap then yes release them, however those 2 in particular are being watched my many other clubs which suggests they have potential. A club in our position can't so easily cast aside potential talent that could make us money further down the line.

    If funds allow I agree with you. That midfield certainly needs some attention though. The thought of Akpan and Anderson as first choice next season gives me nightmares

    Would he? He’s very light weight and gets knocked off the ball too easily and when he’s not on his game he’s a spectator. Any defender/midfielder at any professional level can man mark him or double up and shut him out of a game

    last season we wouldn't have done any worse had we left him out and just played with 10 men. we can get by with kids if we need to. O'Connor can do one.
