Only because Mclaughlin, Doyle and Williams were all of a very similar standard.

Agreed take young Pickford out and we certainly haven't had better than Johnny Mc.

 

OD isn't on the level that Doyle and Jonny Mac are.

 

Pretty certain that if Doyle played last season with our defence he would have done as bad as OD.

 

I liked duke personally.

 

I think he would have looked slightly better.

we'd still have been hopeless as a team and gone down, but I think Doyle would fared slightly better

I'd probably say he was bottom of the list of the keepers mentioned. Probably about on a par with Williams but not as good as McLaughlin or Doyle.

 

Not a fan of Rouven Sattelmaeir then....?

 

This team would have gone down with Gordon Banks (in his prime before I get the funny posts) in net.

We're were woeful and just changing keepers was never going to change that.

 

I only included the first choice keepers but Sattelmaeir wasn't the greatest, no.
