I gave my opinion and was told I wasn’t being optimistic enough. I didn’t have a pop at anyone.
As a fan base we are very apathetic. Many fans in the lower leagues wouldn’t have put up with Edin and Rupp's behaviour after the McCall sacking never mind the Grayson and Collins disaster. We couldn’t even muster a decent protest and we bottled the fly over in case we upset the money man.
Edin was driven out of the club. Rightly. Now Rupp seems to be getting away with it. We lie 23rd with 11 games to go and are on yet another manager. What is Julian doing? Where is Rupp?

You raise a very good point about Rupp and Rhodes. Unless I've missed it this week somehow, not seen or heard a thing from either about the appointment of Bowyer, and why for example, only a short term contract, whats the reasoning behind that?

Mark Lawn might not have been everyones cuppa tea, but at least he was open and honest, and we got an idea of what was going on

Mmm still find it strange he informed fans of the positions he wanted to add to but failed to do do so. It is not black and white - we do not know what limits were imposed by the owner and Mr Rhodes - behind closed doors - it may have been this is what we can do without freeing up some wages - and this did not allow him to sign players in the positions he wanted to. Wright and Riley not going may cost us this season. There is of course the limit on the amount of players we are allowed to sign in relation to turn over too.
On top of this we had to limit contracts until the end of the season because of the potential of us being in Div 2 - this would limit the number of players willing to commit to us.

Well that's one example, I suppose Dave.

    What about Hopkin, Rodgers, O'Neil?

Just for the record of managers sacked/parted company this season, of which their are 25 ( I dont include Bowyer at Blackpool, Harry Kewell at Crawley, Dean Smith at Brentford, Neil Ardley at Wimbledon, John Sheridan at Carlise, Nathan Jones at Luton and David wagner at Hudds as these resigned due to moving to other clubs, politics at Blackpool), the new manager bounce effect on his first league game in charge resulted in 6 wins (24%), 6 draws (24%) and 13 defeats (52%).

Within those figures, Steve Bruce at Sheffield Wednesday was appointed on 2/1/2019 but didn't take over as "official manager" until 01/02/2019 which Sheffield Wednesday won 1-0 at Ipswich. Whilst he wasn't officially the manager, Wednesday lost their first fixture 3-0 at Hull. I've included it as a win above mind.

The silence is deafening. It's absolutely ridiculous. Think I read that Bowyer hasn't even met Rupp yet! You would have thought that it would be a perfect time for Rupp to release his quarterly statement to the fans.

I don’t think we are apathetic, there was a considerable amount of rumour about what Edin was doing but hardly any evidence was made public, so difficult to mount a campaign on rumour alone. I like you was horrified at the sacking of McCall. I think you are being harsh on your fellow fans to say the least it did take some time to mount a protest, but we got there in the end.

Rupp is in Germany running his other business interests as far as I know. It is a catch 22 situation do Stefan and Julian spill the beans on what has happened to the club and raise enormous anxiety amongst the fan base and investors in the club, or do they keep quiet and allow the team and manager to concentrate on trying to pull us out of this mess? I know you have already given up, but the rest of us are just hoping we can at least stave of relegation and then we can deal with what happens next in the summer.

The reason you have received so much flack is your attitude to fellow fans, the only way out of this is if we can try to stick together as a fan group and not fight amongst ourselves. None of the fans are responsible for what has happened.

I watched the "Sunderland til I die" doc. Quite an eye opener - and similar comparisons can be made to their fans discontent and ours. The difference is, that while the owner - Ellis Short - was absolutely hated, the other guy running the ship was liked, and fans knew he was doing everything to try and resolve the situation - unlike Rahic. When Coleman was brought in, indeed the "bounce effect" was there for all to see. For a short while. It was the players who were getting the brunt of the stick, and rightly so. Quite an incredible season to make a documentary, and I couldn't help thinking that this season at Bradford would also have made a very watchworthy Netlflix programme! I think Coleman at the end of it was glad to leave (especially when that Twit called him a prick outside the ground), and I hope Bowyer doesn't end up like that come May.

Josh Wright shouldn't get any game time purely for the fact there are at least 4 players at the club in his position who are better than him.

He's the very poster boy of a player who doesn't give a fcuk. That match (possibly his last one) where he just jogged alongside their player without making a tackle, was unforgivable in my book. He didn't help himself that it led to a goal either.

But @Fordy117@Fordy117 rates him! Indeed he said earlier that he has performance statistics which even demonstrate he is a good player. Unfortunately he has yet to share those stats with the rest of us despite being asked several times.

Busy in the Merc for stats.

I don't rate him just think fans need to understand he isn't the problem and maybe we could use him now because the players we are currently using are shi&e and been a lot down and I include Payne in that.

But you know and I know you're not in your £80k Merc on the way to your next business meeting. You're still typing away on the same device in the same location you were more than 5 hours ago. I'll ask you again, why don't you supply the stats you referred to earlier which demonstrate Wright is not a poor player?

I think only Park made a point about your optimism, my point was that Bowyer isn't an appointment from the shit pool, that is just being negative for negatives sake because it isn't true nor fair to a bloke who's so far had a solid career in management.
