Whoever is appointed there will be those among us who disagree.

If we want any hope of survival,the last thing the new manager wants
to read is fans showing there disapproval before he even starts!

The contract to the end of the season is the best idea considering the
possibility of there being little improvement before end of season.If
things don't improve we might blame players but it could be a wrong
managerial appointment and we would be contractually out of pocket
If we had to pay him off.Can't afford that!

If we go down and Bowyer is our manager with his Blackpool credentials,
then we have someone who has done the promotion from within a toxic
club so could then take it from there.

 

I wonder if the club actually brought any candidates in for an interview last week?

Maybe Bowyer is the only one with interest and that it is short term because thats the way he wants it, knowing the problems at the club.
Short termism- not a great idea for bringing in season ticket sales.

 

Change is all we can do in our present situation. Really, it's just the last throw of the dice. Let's all hope it's a winner.

 

If there's no announcement today, then there's something up. Maybe some last minute candidates coming in.
I'd also like to see someone brought in just til the end of the season. But then again, look at Grayson.
On a side note, I started watching the Sunderland doc on Netflix. Grayson coming in to the club with all guns blazing. And then failing miserably. I don't think we missed out much, him not accepting the job.

 

I think Bowyers time at Blackpool stands him in good stead
in regards to having success despite the bigger problems
Blackpool had.

I guess it hasn't put him off us which is something!

 

Apart from keeping us up which would stand him in very good stead for the permanent job, or make him more attractive to other clubs recruiting.

 

He has nothing to lose if it's until the end of the season and everything to gain.

 

@Old city man is right. Whoever walks through the door this morning has to have our full support, yes we have different ideas of who we might want to be manager, but that ends today. Let’s hope they are successful.

 

but that was against the owners, the fans we're behind the teams. He's now taking on a team where the fans dislike the team and members of the squad don't want to play for the fans. There's a massive gap between the 2 situations

I'm alright with this appointment, not sure why its only a short term deal, this season is as good as over, we are getting relegated, no two ways about that. I'd be getting someone in with a view to looking towards next season now.

 

Couldn't agree more ........... What's to say this 'new' bloke can't fit the Bill ? Perhaps NEXT season IS the overall view ? I like the 'Try before you buy' approach.

 

Its only Simon Parkers take on things (unless I've missed sonething), he may be correct but I'm with you, his task should be to try and keep us up with a viewto what will be require for next season.
