surely the difficulty is that if you buy a flexi as well as a ST like suggested, the seat next to you wouldn’t be available.. so if someone did decide to come with you that week you wouldn’t be able to sit together anyway.

I agree, however much fans want progression, and the majority do, we can’t do it next year. We need to stabilise the club’s finances. Let’s say we were promoted next year, we will be nowhere near ready financially. It could take us awhile to get back to where we were, such is the damage. I can’t even think about if we get relegated. So let’s just breath a collective sigh of relief if we make it, and stabilise the club first.

It's human nature to pay the least you can for something. I'm not sure the club would be thrilled at the idea of ST holders trading in to take a flexi instead. I think the idea behind flexi is to attract back some of the fans that had STs but now don't, and to secure more 'walk ups'

The ship has sailed but the time to do it was the play off final season. Launch an offer in April for 230 quid - based on a tenner per game marketing strategy. At the time, there was a fair chance of championship football on offer, so uptake would've been high. And if promotion weren't to come off, people were bought into a quality side and the manager.

We've wasted a huge opportunity through the hubris of one man.

Of course that's the alternate angle which I can complete understand. My only issue with it is that we would have no idea what the impact would be on sales, especially after such a poor twelve months. So sticking with affordable tickets is almost the safest way to budget for next season.

I'm not ITK whatsoever so can only call it as I see it and we have shown that we can attract good enough players to the club with affordable season tickets. The basis behind the Rupp & Rahic takeover was to allow for affordable tickets to maintain while the new regime could took us to the next level. Obviously that plan didn't factor in Rahic's inadequacies. Simply put, despite all the issues of the past 12 months, I have confidence that Rhodes & Rupp have a concrete enough plan to offer the £150 price and ensure that we have a competitive playing budget next season.

Getting rid of the likes of Reeves, Wright, McCartan, Riely, Jones etc, bringing in free agents, licking his finger and seeing which way the winds blowing.
I can't see Stefan spending big next season even given there might be an uptake of season tickets/flexi's into the high teens next season.
Stefan never expected to be financing the club to the level he has put in to see our club through to next season.

Is it written by @Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown who has a Rhodes love in?

. The price point is £150. Not many will pay other the odds.

I don't see the WOTP sponsoring the club or anything.

What Bradford City are spelling out is that for £150 per season ticket that's enough to get us by.

Look, I have paid other the odds before but 15-18k fans won't , so it makes no difference.

When we can't complete in the transfer window for players then don't complain. Oh and @Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown i don't want you complaining about refs when we're signing rubbish.

Do you want this club to progress WOTP?

The club is now seen as some cheap bargain basement club. Holds no value now. If I was thinking of sponsoring then it would be for rock bottom prices.

So you won't be complaining when Sponsors don't renew or revenue is down from this area.

The point is some people on here would vote for paying more. Many more would vote with their feet and stay away.
We have a big stadium compared to many in league one and it’s better to have more seats used than being empty.
It needs a real sales push now similar to what we had when Mason was here.

I think people are just focusing on the cost of the season ticket itself. True the single cost of a season ticket is low, but having 15,000 tickets at that price is a lot of money! Plus the added on value from having that number in the ground is larger than you think. People would be more likely to buy a shirt or other merch if they attended a match most weekends, even buying a drink/food is a money spinner! Better having 1,500 buying a beer every week then just 150. Long term this does make more money, some people think the club is short changing itself when it is a sound business decision!

Exactly. Now is not the time to mess with the season ticket budgeting when we have many other issues to iron out. I think its fair to say that uptake of season tickets at £150 would be somewhere around 15,000 (+/- 1,500) based on previous seasons. If season tickets were set at £300 then we would have no idea where the sales figure would end up for next season.

Rhodes and Rupp need stability in as many areas as possible so that they can focus on the other more volatile issues such as the squad structure.

I'm not too sure after what our club has been through recently next season would be a good time to increase the price of season tickets, very sensible Julian, the main aim should be to get fans back on side, and no better way than cheap season tickets.
I totally agree our stadium is not the best for atmosphere when less than half full, so offering tickets at this price might get a few who were not happy with the situation under Rachic back on board, only time will tell if that is the case, I hope the fans come back in numbers and give Stefan a good base to see what he needs to continue in supporting our club and his investment.

I don't want that. I want Bradford City to get as much money in as they can do we can compete.

The issue I have is that with Brexit everything else in life will be going up in price and it's important that a business manages the hold on to the value of their product.

Reducing prices will mean that when the prices do go up then you will see a massive drop off because some won't be able to accept or understand the prices going up. It's perfect timing to increase prices.

Also the quality of the brand. Cheap prices just means now that the club really has no value. It smacks of desperation and I know if I was doing I deal with Bradford City I would be all over that.

Last point is excuses by fans not to attend. You see all the empty seats at Man City at it's because they don't value what they currently have. Hear some say it's boring. Unfortunately for Bradford City you've some fans that when it rains or snow they make excuses not to attend because they know that £169 for a season is next to nothing.

The decision has been made but as I sat when we can't get out of Div 1 or Div 2 I don't want anyone complaining about refs etc as it will be down to us not being able to challenge in the transfer market because we're a charity

Fordy what do you think would happen if Aldi and Lidl suddenly decided to massively increase prices even though a lot of what they sell is a con because often the same product is less in weight.
Lots of families have got used to coming together to matches because of the price.
It’s not only season ticket revenue either there is all the ancillary activities which would suffer from a reduced gate.
You should really try and grasp the concept that increased prices may not increase revenue

I think the club is firmly up for sale myself.

Rupp said he will cover the 2m which is great but some reason Bradford City wants to be debt fee.

I could be wrong and well wrong but lowering the season tickets and paying off the debt makes it sellable and gets interested parties thinking about buying the club.

When I read statements saying we WILL be highly competitive in the transfer market next season no matter what then I will change my mind.
