Has he got a point is there any fellow poster prepared to take the task on of opening a "just giving" page (whatever that is) I'm sure there would be enough contributors if as @Nick_W_ says the cost is around £700.

So can I throw it out to fellow members is there anyone who would take the task on or has brisbanebantams got a point ?.

you mention that something might be in the offing regarding that and that we don’t know people are doing things behind the scenes to get things going. can i ask how you expect to spread the word to the masses without making these things public so other people can join? if it’s all done by just a few people then not enough will be raised. if it’s all done underground in the secret owners out layer, without an organised group then it becomes more of a vigilante cohort.

 

To be honest I gave up on the business side of football after our second admin back in 2004 so things may have changed but I think you are grossly overestimating how assets could be "cashed in" in our situation.

I mention the golden share, or FL membership, as that underpins everything. It means that the outstanding transfer fees (debtors) we are owed couldn't be simply raised by current owners, they are footballing debts that go with the club. So even if the asset value of the playing squad (investments, lol) could be realised (highly doubtful based on the evidence on the pitch and, in fact if there was an emergency sell-off fees would be even less) again that couldn't easily be taken out by any owners - fees are very rarely paid up front.

The intangible assets have no value if not attached to a functioning football club, again not an easy thing to simply "cash in" - to be honest I have no idea what our tangible assets might be. We don't own our ground, we don't own a training ground, anything in the stadium that is a tangible asset would likely be useless without it (or raise very little money in a emergency sell-off).

I wouldn't be bothered getting into this, but as we have seen the very fact you have even mentioned the prospect of asset stripping will now mean certain posters will be convinced this is happening. Rahic is useless, but if he was going to target a club to asset strip he's made a particularly bad choice.

 

I don't think £700 for a "Now you see it, now you don't" demonstration is good value at all.

 

I can recall many others, what was the success ratio? Seems unimaginative and not cost effective to me and anyway, he's already had a load of negative press and already knows how unpopular he is.

 

The actual fly bye with whatever slogan would only be seen by many in the ground plus anyone else who looked up to try and read the banner, I believe more would catch in in the papers or maybe if it got out to the media also on a tv clip, then it becomes very good value don't you think ?.

Not really. As I've said, fly-bys have been seen and done many times before and forgotten about pdq. Tbh I don't think it will achieve anything other than a small amount of further embarrassment for him and I don't see that as worth £700, a banner at the ground can do just the same and the subsequent tussle with the stewards would attract just as much attention.
