Funny, in his first post match interview, David had a dig at Edins recruitment. To be hoped he keeps the faith.

I agree about the recruitment although if I'm honest I was pretty happy with it in the summer with the exception of the full backs.

My point is simply that we need to be objective in some of our complaints otherwise were criticising things that don't matter. Not having 18-20 quality players and having youngsters or sub standard players consistently on the bench hasn't been unusual for us and shouldn't be a barrier to success.

I'd say we'd largely got that. Again if you have three key midfielders missing - even your squad isn't going to cover.

I think this is so subjective, that we could argue it all day long - we have a lot of injuries, which I think is linked to the lack of a fitness coach and hence is probably a far bigger error than say a couple more players

Without going over old ground we didn't spend hardly if any of the play off run money most fees like Reeves were paid for because we saved on wages from getting rid of the big earners. Hardly any money as come from the chairmens pockets and that's fair enough but if anyone says they have put extra money in to the budget would love to know where.

You disagree? You thought Fleetwood was better than today?

I blame him for lots of things. Apologies that I don't agree that he's at fault for everything and is a disaster and he needs to leave and further apologies for praising him for the summer recruitment (which plenty others did by the way) - but I actually don't think any good comes out of protests / sack the board etc

That's fine. I'm just asking what exceptional income we've had in because as far as I can see it's minimal over the last 3 years.

I doubt we exactly made a fortune from playing Fleetwood in the play offs and getting to the final where the FA and other play off teams take a pretty big cut.

I don't think they can be accused of been frugal like the Lawn / Rhodes era. They have spent money - this summer for instance they've not balked on trying to find quality players. I agree they tend to be cash neutral, but I'm not convinced that there's anything wrong with this

We might have been a L1 club when they bought us, but we were nowhere near to been a Championship one in terms of infrastructure. I believe that they see this as just as important and hence feel compromising great wealth for the playing budget is worth it long term. Problem is, the majority of fans want success now or else!!

I never said it was a issue my point is I have never got it when those say we have spent more money when clearly we have used the money from areas where we have saved.

I thought they were both very poor performances. The two goals today did not cover up the fact that Blackpool led us a merry dance for most of the game and it would have been a travesty if they had not got at least a draw although the win was a fair reflection. Our first goal was completely against the run of play but did lead to a good spell of pressure of about 10/15 minutes. The only positives i can take today was the introduction of David Ball who looks straight away looked better than Miller and Wood who did alright in his second game. Payne shows glimpses but nowhere near enough to dominate a game and O'Donnell was having a match winning game until his mistakes for two of their goals.
Hopkin will be an improvement on Collins, impossible not to be, but will now need time and a transfer window or two to get players that his style and method. At the moment he can only patch up the many leaks this team has due to a pathetic pre season in terms of recruitment of players and managers.

So you've forgotten the utter farce that was preseason? Rahic's fault.

The utter farce that was the manager search? Rahic's fault.

You think the players you mention are quality signings? Really?

Have we had a worse performing midfield than Akpan and Wright? That's because of organisation is it? Right... they're the only two whose roles haven't really changed!

Mellor looks a very poor replacement for McMahon, and Ball and Doyle are a very strange combination given they're both so lightweight. Ball is a panic signing, and that will be reflected by the fact he isn't an out-and-out striker or the target man we so badly required. We have failed to replace Wyke effectively, and that is damning considering how much money we had at our disposal.

I'll give you O'Donnell, O'Connor, Scannell and Payne - they've got ability. Shame Payne isn't ours, but you won't find many sides relegated out of League One who don't have at least two or three quality players because they do.

But it isn't about INDIVIDUAL quality, it's about a team. If a manager had been brought in and told to assemble a side, he wouldn't have signed XI strangers and hoped they came together by some miracle. Between Rahic and Abbott, however, we've put together the worst Bradford City TEAM since Peter Jackson left.

There is no balance, little experience, too much reliance on untried, untested (lost-looking) players who are getting switched in and out every week, absolutely ZERO partnerships (aside from O'Connor/McGowan), and overall, the whole thing is a disaster.

Sweeping the decks clean was a MASSIVE error, and I'm counting that as just one of many faults for our Summer recruitment.

Me neither. He talked about having to use a teenager as a substitute, but considering at that time in the match we had six of our squad, either injured or unavailable, who are all first team or decent reserve players and also could all play in midfield (or fill in) - I fail to see how this is Edins's fault

He commented on the subs Blackpool were able to bring on and compared these to what he had.

No, he did not comment about having to use A teenager and are you saying that we are the only team to have to cope with injuries?

If you're including Jones and Reeves, you're deluded.

The recruitment was done with those injuries in mind, so can't be used to defend poor performances or Rahic's recruitment.

Also, you can't use Wright. He played.

    So who are your six?

Bloody fans eh, who would have them?! Look, we have been lousy since the turn of the year and to say the problem is the fans wanting immediate success really is a lousy defence of ER's dreadful leadership of our club
