There's a lot of bad habits in this team that need to be trained out of them. Winning today would have been great but possibly misleading. It's going to take Hopkin time to retrain the defensive unit how to defend and to work out how to set up the midfield so that we don't get overrun and allow crosses to be bombarded in.

 

Our recruitment is awful, but we know that. Now Hopkin knows too.

Whoever signed then must go, Abbott or Edin.

 

So we’ve lost another match and Rahic is still in charge.

I therefore expect there to be protests at the Charlton match, given the posts on here from some over the last few weeks.

The fact that O'Donnell, arguably our best player this season, and who kept us in it for much of the game today, made two bad mistakes for their 1st and 3rd goals, is very sobering.

At the moment we are as brittle as a stick of rock - a stick of rock with 'relegation' written through it. No one has any confidence. That's how we managed to turn a morale boosting away win into the opposite.

That and the fact that we played most of the game with no midfield structure to speak of. Much of the second half was just head tennis. Even if we'd got a result it wouldn't have papered over the cracks.

As it is, we have to hope that this is rock bottom. Good luck, Mr Hopkin. Making a team out of our collection of journeymen, loanees and kids taking their baby steps in league football is going to be no mean task.

 

Nothing to do with that weve got 3 injuries in centre midfield, Akpan, Wright & Reeves ? We can’t have numerous midfielders in case the the 3 main centre midfielders are injured.
