I wonder though would the same manager and same players perform the same for you as they are at Crawley? I do feel that maybe there are factors about the club, you the fans being one of them that play a part in the underperformance because the expectations are just so much higher so the pressure on the players and manager are higher and that can lead them to shrink. And every season you are stuck in League 2 the more the expectations increase

Just look for example how over the last few seasons you have seen teams containing multiple players that the fans deemed not good enough and the club decided to offload have outperformed you and these players have done well at these clubs. Using scouting apps might help you identify who would statistically be good signings but they can't identify which players have the mentality and maybe this is where you need to improve no matter who the owner is, you need to be identifying managers and players who thrive under pressure and expectation rather than those who seem to shrink as it seems they are.

It's certainly no coincidence that an uncomfortably high majority of players underperform when they're here and perform(ed) better before/after their spell with us.

They might be doing well in the league this season but it shouldn't be forgotten how badly they did last season and that they were very lucky not to get relegated last season. They also had a mess of a summer with the home kit being launched a couple of days before the season, they played their pre-season matches in training kits, season tickets didn't go on sale until July, the owner called Crawley fans crazy.

I'm just watching the MKD and Crawley game say what you want about their set up but the[r making MKD look like a Sunday league side both games, just how can a club that struggled fill their bench against us on the opening game of the season develop into such a very good footballing side1 - 6 at the minute and Crawley just smashed another shot against the wood work.
I commented about the MKD manager saying even though they got beat 4 - 0 at Valley Parade he was glad they kept playing the way he wants them to approach games, such a nonsense comment does he have a plan "B" because since playing us they've had a few heavy defeats.
Spoke to soon in goes another 1 - 7 some great football, the commentators say the owners are very heavily into the same thing as Brentford, its certainly seems to be paying off this season.

I can see why Hughes wanted to play that system, but only if you have to have players who believe in the system, and the way Crawley passed it around showed they were defiantly not afraid to hold and pass when the pass was on they completely dominated both games and all credit to them, did we miss a bullet it looks like they may have more football nonce than many thought.
Its certainly been successful for teams that took it onboard but I'm sure if it was that easy more teams would have followed that train of thought.

However, after years of failure under Rupp . What makes you think it won’t end in tears for us?

Yet, had we seen out a 2-1 victory against them, rather than crazily throwing it away and losing 4-2, they probably wouldn't have made the playoffs.

No probably about it. They wouldn't have and we would. Small margins and all that.

Deserve Rupp and sparks? Pffffffffgttttttty that’s a very large fart noise. I think if they go up creepy Crawley may try and sell. They are investors so that’s not bad thing. We need a drastic change here.

    On a side note

This clearly puts to bed the “ Vision” , “ Plan” , “ System” and “ Style” that MKD have is another facade of smoke and mirrors.

They were worse than awful let’s be brutally honest . Ah but they have a “Plan” say some. More 1/2 empty grounds season after season , more footballing debt , rolled over season after season, but hey they have a plan.

You can’t beat good honest football, played by good honest players, managed by a decent coach as Crawley showed. Well done them.

Forget Wagmi they sold off the best players last summer, the credit should go to Scott Lindsay the manager. He should without a doubt have been manager of the season in league 2. Never mind Parkinson with his Wrexham millions,or Clough or Challinor, this guy has worked miracles.

His stock is high right now and will be even higher if Crawley win next Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised if he's manager somewhere else by October.

Is that how it happens? I thought it worked by everyone else turning it down and then you stumble across someone in your junk mail whilst searching for those dick hardening adverts.
    Who wudda thunk'd it!
