Being serious for once though, what a fantastic effort by @Bantam Steve and the rest for getting this into the national media in such a short space of time.

Meanwhile, 2 years later, the recognised supporters group are still discussing the imperative hot water issues that have been plaguing the club.

 

Which bit of the article is untrue Kev? I have read it a few times now and it seems to be on the button.

 

My level of understanding regarding UK and European history is fine thank you, particularly the era that you are referencing.

However this is a Bradford City supporters forum/board where we generally debate Bradford City!! Your post had nothing in the slightest to do with that and I suggest it’s taken to a more general post!!

Anyways to reiterate my point well done Steve great job and I am extremely grateful for your efforts.

 

I don't know about you, but I quite like having friends of many years with whom I share our football interest. I don't consider them, me or other City fans who have renewed their season tickets to be stupid or moronic. You might not agree, but there is no need for insults. Supporting our team is ingrained in our nature, through good times and bad. Yes, we might want a more professional approach and wish other decisions had been made, but I stillwant to support my club.

I think the people who choose not to renew their season tickets are doing so because they’re bored of the entertainment on offer. Simple as that. Not as some kind of protest or an attempt to force change.

 

The very last thing we need is for our fellow fans and posters to fall out. None of our fans are to blame, we are not the problem. Yes there are differences in how we deal with our problems. We asked for change and one part was changed ie a Director of Football was hired, plus Rupp has said he will invest. We are not daft enough to believe him but we have to wait and see on that one. Yes extra ST have been sold as a result. BUT we expect pledges to be honoured and if anybody thinks we will be queuing up to buy next year without massive improvements then they will be in for a nasty surprise. @Campbell's soup please don’t lose heart of start attacking fellow fans for having a different view, we need to stick together during the tough times it is what we do.

For what it is worth I think the article was correct and a damn sight better than anything Parker has written. , I didn’t pick anything xenophobic from the article ie it was not particularly anti German apart from saying he is in Germany all the time. Well yes that is because he lives there.

 

I don't think it's an either or situation but I do agree the majority of people not renewing are probably doing so due to apathy and not having the stomach for another disappointing season in league 2, but that in itself is a form of protest is it not? They are still saying quietly 'this isn't good enough, I'm fed up of being bored on Saturday afternoons and until the product on offer improves, I'm going to do something else with my time'.

 

I'm not saying you're wrong in the assessment of said rag, but really?

 

Wouldn't bother, it's an irrelevant rag that won't exist in 12 months time.

 

Drop the old racism card in if all else fails.

 

I agree, from a PR perspective extending the deadline would look good and would show that the club recognise and acknowledge some fans reluctance to renew. Perhaps the ideal time to have done that would have been at the same time as Rupp’s statement. An opportunity missed but not too late to rectify.
