Saturday is going to be one of those games where what’s happening elsewhere is just as important, everyone looking at their phone.

I was going to include Bobby and I agree with you. The relationship between them is far more in tune than Richards or Ridealgh in my opinion. Gilly is a decent shout but with Wright we know he's more capable of scoring and being productive than Gillead. I tend to think of Gillead as a defensive option rather than creative, and that's why I think we are winning more games these days.

 

The Wi-Fi is just rubbish at VP, and if we have a stadium full it will be even worse. Might have to dig out the mini radio lol

 

In hindsight, I agree. I originally called it keeper error but on a second look. No it wasn’t.

I think the point is that we are now very mobile on both sides whereas previously teams knew that they could double up on Halliday, block off that side and then we'd have to play around in front of the opposition.

Over a short period of time the outcomes can be masked by the perceived danger/threat so just the fact that he's there, has the pace and skill makes him a danger that opposition can't ignore.

 

Very true, but look at form over the last four matches. It could just happen.

Barrow (four defeats) v Mansfield (four wins)
Crawley (two draws/ two defeats) v Grimsby (two wins/ a draw)
Bradford (four wins) v Newport (four defeats)

 

7 ! If Barrow draw, we need to win 8 nil to pass their GD of plus 6. A level GD will see them above us on goals scored.

Barrow will lose heavily to Mansfield, who will take thousands up there for a party. It's Crawley v Grimsby which is a killer.

 

Win on Saturday and it will be down to one result. Take your pick which..................

And another factor is playing with one defensive midfielder instead of two as I've gone on about for longer than I can remember. We're essentially playing 3322 and it really works for these players.

 

Wright should be using his pace, to drive at the opposition.

Oyegoke is a liability, Tomkinson is significantly better and should start. Has pace and athleticism. Only problem is his passing is poor, just like Kelly and Platt.

 

I wonder if we have to play Oyegoke because I thought Tomkinson was doing pretty well. No complaints though, because we’re getting the wins and that’s what matters.
