Its simply a poor league and has been for years now ...........the fact that we still have a chance of the playoffs just shows how bad it really is.

 

Please can we get this depressing season done and dusted and have a 3 month break before thinking about next season

 

Looking a pretty shite league next season.

Nowhere near the top 3 by xmas and the protests will resume.Talk is cheap.

Over to you Rupp, Sparks et al.

Get your fecking finger out and deliver us a team we can be proud of next season.

Or feck off and let someone else do it.

 

I think after this season we should not worry about the crap teams or standards ... we couldn't beat some of the dross this season so why next season at home on a cold Tuesday night....? We need to get a good team with more quality and get the job done.... if our backroom team cant do that then they can go... It aint worked so far Sparky boy/ ...?

 

I would have thought if the meetings weren't city related, Jamie would have been told his unavailability was due to business matters in Germany. Maybe the hold off is because he is hoping to have some good news to share after those meetings take place. I'm hoping that's the reason for the delay anyway.

 

There's no stand out teams next year and no big hitters money wise (perhaps MK if they don't go up).

We simply have to go up next season. No more excuses.

 

And Gillingham, plus the three teams that don’t go up via the play offs

The league is weaker next season but we say that every season and we as club are still shite.

 

Hopefully Park they will be saying Bradford will be a spending force, let other clubs worry about us for a change no more excuses. Chesterfield’s budget was only £2.1 million this season, much less than the likes of Wrexham and Stockport when they came up. We have nothing to fear in this league, if we are worried about teams like those you’ve mentioned we may as well just resign ourselves to becoming midtable league 2 forever.

For whatever reason I have renewed optimism for the upcoming season, similar to what I had in 2012, although I did have a similar feeling after seeing some of our transfer business in 2018 so it’s certainly been wrong before.

Try to be positive about our chances, we’re Bradford City, we need to get our mojo back and start performing on the grass rather than belittling ourselves because there’s someone new with a sugar daddy.

Outrageous decision all round but surely Altrincham as the highest finishing of the 4 should be the one to get the bye and Solihull should have to play Halifax instead.

It's the council dragging it out it seems. Their ground is owned by Gateshead council and once it seemed like there might be an issue back in 2023 IF they made it to the play offs, the football club reached out to the council and they had a March 1st deadline it seemed to get everything extended. Council just dragged it out and out and eventually they have signed it, but they signed it far too late, sometime in April apparently. So if they had a good season next season, they could still be in the POs without any bother.

Seems like the club thought as long as it's signed before the end of the season they might get a pardon but the EFL have put their foot down and said rules are rules. Naff scenario that paints all parties involved in a bad light. Very harsh on Gateshead because not only does it mean they don't have a chance to be promoted, their better players will probably look for a move now to L2 or other NL clubs, and they'll be squad building all over again.

 

Really? I personally thought it was very poor quality from both sides. Playing these next season just shows how far we have fallen

Another bloody trek next season to that there London. Just another Sutton, almost identical distance too

 

Happens a fair amount I think? The team know the stonking run of form end up winning the POs. Happy winning attitude and mentality is worth its weight in gold at this time of year.

 

It will certainly be a lot softer next year. For once we'll be going into a season with lots of goal scorers. Cook, Kavanagh, and Young can all deliver numbers in this league. We're not miles away from being a good squad. The focus needs to be on adding more energy to midfield and retaining Halliday.

 

There's zero reason not to be aiming for top spot.

No 'competitive budget'. No 'giving it a go'.

It has to be top spot next year and the work starts now. Over to you Messrs Alexander and Sharpe.

 

Too bloody right. Sick of the false promises season after season

 

I don't think Doncaster have been anything special so far, average looking team but I can't believe how bad Crewe are. They haven't had a shot yet in the second half, at home! Other than the long throw, Crewe have absolutely zero attacking intent.

 

They are poor, I think the main difference between the 2 is fitness. Donny look lively, Crewe look jaded and leggy
