Alexander mentioned something about 1 or maybe 2 more he would like. I presume both would be loans and I may be guessing here but reading between the lines I expect one to be a defender the other a midfielder.

He scored 5 for us last season in the league in a stop start in out season. I think that's ok. Most strikers will struggle if you don't play often to find form and are only playing bit part minutes.

He's a good league 2 striker. He will find another club. You calling him a bad player is nonsense.

 

He scored 5 goals last season for Barrow, not us.

Tyler Smith has 10 goals in 62 appearances in L2. Those stats don't back up the claim he is a 'good league 2 striker'. I would say very average and that is been polite.

Only Barrow have bothered to come in for him.

 

Town have signed 20 year old, CM, Leo Castledine on loan from Chelsea. Wonder if he was one on our radar.

Sounds like 1 of the 2 loans he mentioned the other week hasn't come off.

 

Looks more attacking that a defensive CM. Was in and out a pretty terrible Shrewsbury team last season until he injured his back in January and didn't play again for them.

Their squad looks massive with a good 2 or 3 per position.

 

I don't know how many more midfielders we need when we have Power, Pattison, Metcalf and Leigh who can all play the holding role behind the forwards and striker. I'd still say we really need a striker above anything else. On midfielders though according to former Sky Sports Pete O, Spurs Tyrese Hall is wanted by Championship, League One and League Two clubs, bit of a broad statement I know but could be one on the radar to make up numbers if we needed another midfielder.

 

Have to laugh at their X page with some of them saying he will be their best signing, yet he was in one of the worst sides in the leagues last season. One thing that City have done over the last few years is stop signing players in relegated teams and started to sign more winners and players with great mental attributes.

You can look at bare stats and say multiple things, we all can.

But how many starts were there? How many minutes?

If you think a striker comes into a team and just hits form after being sidelined, then it's just never the case.

I always saw a decent looking lower league striker. Maybe he doesn't work hard enough? I think that's probably why he has been dropped out by GA. And that's fair. I hope he gets a move either on loan or perm.

 

Well his job is to score goals and he isn't very good at it as his career shows. He has been made available, been pushed out of the door and apart from Barrow absolutely no interest.

I dont see a good L2 striker at all.

I think the professionals at the club know his capabilities better than you or I . They have told him he doesn’t figure in our plans…..It’s that simple .

 

He wasn't one of them, confirmed by GA today. We were rejected by one player who went somewhere else.

 

He’s said it was either a loan or buy, (not clear from Everton what they wanted to do.) Whether he was one of two loanees mention who knows.?

 

The season starts tomorrow. These interested clubs sure are leaving it late. This isn't a player that other clubs have had to wait to be made available before making their move, he was basically offered up on a plate at the start of the summer but yet here he is, still sat there.
