Agree, as you say L2 level.

 

Benn looked like a decent player unfortunately for him at this time Halliday is better

 

In fact, it could be argued that bringing in Benn and him playing well, made Halliday re-find his top form of the year before in order to get back to his best and being in the team.

 

Yeh Halliday was absolutely shite for the first few months.

I think Halliday ‘s issue was his partner was expecting . Didn’t Halliday become a Dad at around the same time as Richie ? Maybe that was the issue ?

 

I agree. Sometimes they're really mean to me.

 

Why? Was he up in the night feeding and changing nappies? I doubt he was mainly due to needing 8 hours of solid sleep to remain fit.

 

She may have had complications? It’s a possibility , that’s why I said “ maybe” .

It was tongue in cheek. In any event he was not his usual self. I think GA would have taken him out of the equation if he was worrying about his wife and unborn child.
I liked Jay Benn, thought he was a decent player and I think he has more development in him.

 

The only earlier one I didn't get was Critchlow`? wonder if he had something lined up?

 

Was obviously just me who thought that Benn was fast but worse than Brad in almost every other way.

Agree with some of the above posters in that we need about 9 or 10 signings over the summer. Of the current starting XI I'm not sure there's many who can step up to L1. Hopefully we can get Khela and Tayo back, as I think they're promising players who would feature heavily next season.

 

He's failed twice in L1 already and wasn't exactly scintillating during the run in. I'd sooner gamble on someone else.

 

Benn did get 5 assists during his run in the team. GA went for Halliday's all round game, which you can't argue with.

 

Completely agree - Benn was found wanting in a couple of games and understandably dropped IMO. He’s not at the same level as Halliday, but he will do a job in L2 for someone.

I also recall two one on ones he had with only the keeper to beat and he missed them both (off target). One thing I will say is he had a great cross.

Disappointed about Crichlow - very good defender IMO and it’s a real shame he’s not staying.

 

Development in L2 for sure , a decent prospect but needs game time but neither us or Lincoln think L1 is the place he can achieve it .

 

His crossing at the start was different level, quality into the box....
