Clubs do have the option of offering two versions, one with full stripes on the back for supporters and one with a name/number panel for players (and supporters).

Nice work from the club with the reveal. Reckon its black shorts and socks or we going all amber?

Hooefully we get a white away kit and a dark blue one this time. Last seasons aways were rotten colours.

I reckon black shorts would look better than amber.

From the announcement yesterday of the back of the shorts sponsor it looks like the shorts are black with claret & amber trim along the bottom.

I thought of you when I saw it. I had it in my mind after watching the Celtic game earlier and noticing their hoops go all the way round.

Some way to reveal your new kit. Must have been planned a while ago. Kudos to the club for organising it.

That's proper amber. Seems more yellow on the kit today at Wembley although TV can be deceptive.

For anyone that didn't watch it (and for those who want to see it again), here are the Bantams of the Opera performing Abide With Me and the National Anthem, resplendent in their new City shirts.

Whether you like it or not you have to admire the brilliant marketing effort in getting it ready for the choir to sing in on cup final day.

Fair play. That is excellent marketing!

Wonder if they are doing a different one for the players with a plain back or putting a block over the top of the stripes?

No need for either. Other clubs put the name and number on top of the stripes.

Is it just the PL that introduced the rule this year?

    I don’t think it is a rule
