There was no problem with this for our 2022/23 kit with a striped back.

I’d argue with the club that putting white numbers on a light blue kit as they have this year contravenes this rule!

Ah yeah the pink one. I can’t say I’m fussed about any of the three. Need to see how it looks on the pitch.

The pink shirt seems to be selling well out for a walk in Scarborough yesterday and saw a few of them about

Saw someone wearing it in the co-op in saltaire this morning, far nicer shirt in person.

If they wanted pin stripe, something like the new Notts Forest kit would have gone down well I think. Obviously without the adidas sleeves, but all claret shirt, all claret sleeves, collar with an amber line in the middle of the collar like the Notts one. Then claret body and amber pin stripes.

At least all the kits have arrived in time. I remember when we played in this kit:

The home and away kits were late arriving and we had to play a number of friendlies in a red version. I haven't found any photos of City wearing the red version, but it was the same as Scarborough's kit at the time:

Is this the harlequin version or did we have one with smaller pattern at one time?

Folk rave about those 'harlequin' type kits we had back in the day but let's be honest they were bloody awful.

Personally, I can't stand that 90s style kit, not for me, but obviously, kits are very subjective.

I’m a bit annoyed we’ve gone for pin stripes. I found this table a bit worse for wear in a skip a few weeks ago. I fished it out, took my City shirt to the paint shop and matched the colours. Sanded it down, a few coats and then decided to run a broad strip down the middle. Varnished over the top, and I might now add a Bradford Mythbreakers sticker to the centre. IMG_5289.jpeg

I liked the hoop shirts much better than some we have had to endure since.

It's a very poor kit that will encourage defeats and eventually bring a relegation fight. Thankfully the away kit will bring enough points to save us

Some saying they are ‘pin’ stripes are well off the mark.

The 2010/2011 Surridge shirt was a ‘pin stripe’.

The current shirt is more of a ‘chalk stripe’.

I bought that 22/23 shirt and commented in the club shop how nice it was to have full stripes on the back. The staff told me that the club had just got it in before the rule change and that it was likely to be the last full striped shirt back that we’ll have.
On that basis, it’s the last striped City shirt I’ll ever buy. I cannot stand those plain backs on a striped shirt.
I quite like the front of the new home shirt. But the back just kills it for me. It wouldn’t be quite so bad if it had a plain upper panel just behind the name and number. But the full plain back is horrible.
