There's literally a video been posted on here by @Jordan I think of Tommy Leigh looking like Usain Bolt when running away from him and we've all seen that Leigh isn't exactly blessed with lightening pace.

 

You do realise somewhere down the line when Alexander is shown the door you'll be reminded of your comment , although I agree and have posted the same, during Alexander's time as a player and manager I'd suggest he has a better insight into football and footballer than us.

 

I don’t think Tilt is a speedster but the few videos have seen show him to be no slouch either

 

Pace is pace. You don't need a degree in football tactics to see if someone can run quick or not ffs!

 

I'm sure Tilt has other attributes than his so called pace which I have to be honest and say I've not particularly seen when I've watch him, having said that pace as a central defender is not what I be looking for ffs, how many central defenders have we had over the years with genuine pace, Reece Burke, Andy O'Brien and the late Deano Richards.

You've gone off on a tangent. I never said pace was what we were looking for, or criticised Tilt in any way. I just said he definitely wasn't quick as Huddersbantam is suggesting.

His technique for knocking an opponent off balance is second to none tbf, ball control very good. Hopefully his positional sense may , I say may, cover since his loss of pace over that time.?

Gone off at a tangent ?, I replied to your post you mention pace if fact you mentioned it twice, and I actually agreed that I'd not noticed his pace when I'd seen him previously and added it's something we've lacked in our team for many years apart from my examples maybe you can add more, IMO when looking for a central defender his tackling and aerial ability would the assets I'd be looking at, then if they are quick that's a bonus.

 

Didn't Vadaine Oliver once score a goal in 2018 as well

There is no point pulling this lad apart the deal is done we can’t send him back because fans are upset! It all depends on where he fits in with the squad and in particular the rest of the defenders. GA and Sharpe will have to answer to the fans and the owner if this signing is not right.

I only hope that we don’t have players in our squad who are not up to the tasks. We have had enough of the Oliver type players who are well past their best.
