Long week ahead

Our record against Fleetwood isn't great and Pete Wild seems to have a hoodoo over us.

 

Port Vale fan here, you will be absolutely fine, you're destined to clinch promotion on the 40th anniversary, three years ago we were 5 points clear of the play offs with 4 games to go, we then lost the next 3 and then only just sneaked into the pay offs on the last day, we were then two down in the penalty shoot out with Swindon but we got through and won at Wembley, and I think it was written in the stars for Darrell Clarke for what he'd been through, the same for you this weekend, hope you make it, you deserve to.

 

Fully sold out 24k roughly . Many a team can dream at our support . We deserve to go up ONLY if the men on the grass do their jobs! Well done you guys !

Fleetwood Town fan here , thought i would give you a lowdown on your opponents Saturday. Ive watched every home game and 6 or 7 away games. Looking forward to ticking another ground off on Saturday. Anyhow we have had both our first choice forwards injured for a while now and have had to go with youngsters up front and it`s been tough for them. We are dangerous from set pieces and have been scoring most of our goals from them. So along with Coughlan and Graydon we have also lost our captain and supposedly best player, Wiredu to injury. We are weak down our left side , if McKenzie Hunt plays your right winger/wing back should fill his boots. However two of our best players Bond and Medley are back from injury so might play. We have a good record against the better teams and absolutely battered Walsall 6-2 at their place when they were going well. If injuries had been kinder to us we should have made play offs . Any club that can fill a stadium like Valley Parade should not be in League 2 and i`m sure you won`t be come Saturday tea time . I`ll cheer loudly for any goal Fleetwood score this weekend but if the result goes against us i`m sure i`ll enjoy watching/listening to a huge crowd celebrating promotion. See you Saturday.

I'll be pleased if Ryan Graydon is missing. He has always impressed me when I've seen him on tv with you.

Obviously hoping the 'on the beach' Fleetwood turn up, but aware that you can give teams a hiding on your day.

Early goal for us to settle the nerves would be great and hopefully your lot don't fancy it.

If we win, remarkably, this would be the first promotion sealed at Valley Parade for 43 years, we have tended to do it away from home and Wembley, so it will be some atmosphere with 23000 home fans celebrating at 5pm if it happens
