Have to say if I was anyone connected with the club right now I'd be feeling pretty despondent with the direction of traffic on here.

In the last few months we've...

Put in a decent display against one of the best sides in the league against Notts County.

Scored 8 in the last 3 away games.

Played lots of really good attacking football.

Sit in the autos with destiny in our own hands.

Given the fans at least 3 maybe 4 of the best home performances we've seen in years.

We're on the cusp of promotion having come nowhere near for years now.

We lost today on the basis of one moment of ill discipline. Exactly the same scenario as we did against Swindon.

Surely if we get promoted next week can we not just accept it is an achievement. We were nowhere near this in December. It's a shame that we will get promoted without giving the team the credit I think they deserve.

My disclaimer being that I fully appreciate that we've made mistakes but the way this board is presenting you'd think we've been getting humiliated every week.

A good and fair prospective and ultimately, you’re right.

I think many people are simply frustrated that for once, this season at times has showed promise that we’ve been genuine title contenders…..the real deal almost. However when it’s come to crunch time and getting over the line (as Roy Keane would say), we’ve become the Bradford City many many of us have sadly been accustom to, for far too long.

I think what we are seeing amongst fans of this board probably represents the wider supporters community is years of frustration and anger. We finally get within touching distance we start doing our usual display of failing to take this club forward. We have had weeks to take this club over the line, and we have had bad luck. Nevertheless, we can do without losing players to ill discipline. Fans are now worried and anxious that we have missed our opportunity yet again.

Win next week and all is forgiven. However, if we don't......

It seems unfair that our superb form between Jan and March and all the hard work we've put in is now being used as a stick to beat the team with. It's almost as if we'd be getting more credit if we'd been bang average like we were in the first half of the season and then scraped into the play offs. I get your point but it feels a bit unreasonable to have such acrimony between fans and club at this point.

I suppose that's football for you. The width of a post could end up being the difference between plaudits next week or vitriolic criticism.

I think the club understands perfectly. They should be feeling exactly the same.

Success is defined by fine margins. Ultimately it's still in our hands, if we can't finish the job on Saturday we have failed our primary objective. We get another bite of the cherry via the playoffs but hopefully it won't get that far.

The aim should always be promotion.
Achieve our aim and the world is good.
Don’t get it and it’s a massive missed opportunity.

All that matters is the final league table.
Not who’s top in December or winning 10 on the trot or Walsall being 17 points clear.

Another season of Bromley and Barnet bringing a bus full or Huddersfield and Derby bringing nearer 3000.

    That’s what’s at stake.

That’s exactly as I said yesterday , a deflection, a bad decision , an indecisive official, a lucky bounce , a lucky save . Three points or none …..

Pattison late arrival in the box, hit it into the ground , bang on target the keeper makes a worldie . Keeper dives the right way for a penalty . Fine margins !

I think a lot of it is normal for football fans and how reactionary we all are. So many teams throughout the season are go from being called brilliant to awful in the space of a week. If we get to 5pm next Saturday and we are sat in 3rd nobody will care about the last few games and everyone will be looking forward to next season.
Expectations have changed a lot very quickly in the last 4 months, it's been a rollercoaster for sure and I've lost count of how many times the feeling has gone from thinking we had no chance to top 3, then we were comfortable in top 3 and looking at the title to being top and now being in a fight for 3rd place

For me it's the nature of dropping points in avoidable situations.

We're hitting self destruct again and again, and GA can't really say too much when even he can't control himself.

It's unprofessional and unacceptable. If you get played off the park, at least you know why you lost.

I HAVE TO SAY I AGREE

I just landed in New York and watched it on the plane, and then watched Walsall and that was very stressful but enjoyable at the end

Anyway, I’d like to raise a point most may not have noticed

I closely follow the soccer stats form table and normally for every team the opposition POINTS PER GAME is somewhere between 1.15 to 1.30 points per game,

Ours at the moment is a staggering 1.7 points per game from our opponents lately, we have had a very difficult run of matches to very in form teams,

And we have been leading in three of the games only to mess it up with silly red cards

but for our last game, the full team will be back with Smallwood there and Jack shepherd and at home, and we play at home vs a team who are mentally already on holiday,

We will do it im sure!

    let’s be positive guys

It's not that bad, but not that great. Time and again we've had opportunities to put it to bed but we seem incapable of doing so. Of late we've looked lethargic, ill disciplined and naive. Fans only focus on the present. That's why there is more negativity at the moment. Our defence has gone from looking assured to vulnerable. Hopefully with a week to go players can get the required training/rest to maximise their performance for the biggest game for us in years. Then we'll return to saying it wasn't too bad!!

The issue is the form for those three months shows what the team is capable of, so what happened for the other 6 motnhs of the season? If we had have had just one more month of form like that there wouldn't be an issue and that is why the fans are getting annoyed.

We have had so many games where we have thrown the points away, just one of those would have pushed us over the line to promotion, two of those and we would be looking at Champions

It's a reflection of peoples personalities.
Some are calm in the face of adversity, some flap and panic.
Some go over board when there is success whilst others enjoy it quietly.
Bantam Talk and Bradford City is a just a sounding board and release of these emotions.

    It’s football,it’s very emotive
This season,we as fans have put even more significance on it 40th anniversary
If we get up, all will be forgiven, after all promotion was the aim
How we get there won’t matter ultimately

I’ve never to this day linked the anniversary of the fire disaster to success or not on the field . Yes I was there but linking it to our success in this instance (hopefully) is far too sentementalistic for me .
