I'm in the UK this weekend. Obviously couldn't get tickets for Saturday. My old man now lives in Birkenshaw and says the match won't be shown anyway there cos there all L**ds pubs. My cousin is suggesting the old Packhorse in town but I'm not sure I could deal with a packed out chaotic mess. Does anyone know anything in the Birkenshaw area that might be a good place to see the game?

 

I probably missed it but why was Shepherd missing last week? Was he injured?

 

Yes. A stiff hip problem he has had for some time. Hopefully fit for tmx.

 

Klubhaus has more TVs that are more convenient to watch from pretty much anywhere in the pub, Ring O Bells is more a traditional pubs pub. But at that time in either, they'll have only been open since 12 so i cant imagine it will be a stress finding a seat.

I went down to the ring o bells not long back for the Salford match but Leeds were also on at 12:30. So they kinda split the pub, one half of the teles had Leeds on and the other half were City. Looking at the other games tomorrow, unless someone in there really wants to watch Fulham vs Palace in the FA Cup, i'd imagine all TVs show the City match?

 

If you can't see it any other way, you can get a day or month sports pack from Now TV. £15 for the day or around £30 for the month which is the one to go for if you want to see any other City games on Sky.

 

Thanks. I've got an ifollow subscription cos I live abroad so watching it at all isn't a problem. I was hoping to sit in a pub with my dad and a few family members who haven't been able to get tickets.

Well he's contracted until 2028 so there's plenty of time yet.

 

Alexander seems to rate him. But it’s hard to see how he gets a regular slot in his preferred midfield role in order to develop any form.

 

White Swan and Golden Lion, both on Goodramgate, both show the football and have multiple screens so if theirs something else on their accommodating to put the match you want on. Alternatively the Cross Keys just further down on Monkgate is the same. White Swan or Cross Keys would be my choice

Who knows, it's an odd one. A player GA has been after for a long time so you'd assume he'll be in his plans, especially when we've actually paid a fee for him as well. Right now though, I'd be disappointed to see him named on the bench because that would mean (imo) he's taken the place of a stronger option.

 

Just watching the Tranmere Vs Cheltenham game and the commentator said Tranmere are having a good run under Andy Crosby, they got a win at Valley Parade after Bradford City had won 10 home games on the trot, he then said, but I have to say the penalty Tranmere got was one on the worst decisions he'd seen.

 

I’m watching the other game . Colchester having a hangover Dave…poor stuff .

 

Just needs a good pre season.
