Given that City are currently on a massive roll, and have achieved their ‘highest post-Christmas league position in any division since 1999’ https://widthofapost.com/2025/02/26/a-huge-win-for-bradford-city-gives-them-greater-conviction-in-the-battle-for-automatic-promotion/

Are some who post on here, yet boycott coming to VP, given the previous performances going to return?

Actually make the trip to Valley Parade?

Next Tuesday potentially is a record breaker, if City win, it will be 10 straight wins in a row.

Be part of it, or have some gripe and feel righteous in not going?

    Perhaps time for reconciliation?

I accept that distance and significant health issues may prevent some from coming, but in the absence of some other owner, perhaps time to put the vendetta aside?

All three of em ? ;)

Poor health is one thing and or a change in circumstances can’t be planned for when deciding to attend or not …BUT.

I can’t think of a more ridiculous thing to do, it’s about supporting the “ club & it’s players ” not the owner. Multiple owners have come and gone in my lifetime of supporting City raising nothing but hopes leading to complete instability , added to the fact that I disliked 95% of em didn’t stop me going. If they want to come along and boo and have a tantrum because we didn’t get 10 home wins on the spin , they are better off staying away just because they don’t like the owner. It’s their choice.

Nah, the last four years have completely zapped my enthusiasm not just for City, but football in general.
I've taken the kids to Man Citeh, Yanited and Liverpool games over the past couple of seasons, but more for an experience for them.
Nice to see that City maybe coming out of a really dark period, but life moves on, and so have I.
They'll always be my club, but from now on I just look out for their results at 5pm (or 10pm).

Not a "boycott".... but I just cant be bothered with Tuesday night matches and from the looks of the TV a good few thousand others don't either. I couldn't tell you the last one I went to and cant see me going to Cheltenham next week. We could be thumping teams 4-0 every week, my sofa and a cuppa always trumps sitting in the cold and having to drive through Manningham at 10pm-ish.

Again that’s different Jordan…Some on here posted they weren’t going again as long as Rupp was the owner …effectively a boycott as Rod alludes to.

No, I won't be coming back to VP just yet. My 'boycott' was never about City not being very good. I've followed the club home and away for most of the last 30 years, and we've been pretty poor for a fair chunk of that.

My personal boycott was, and is motivated by Rupp running this club into the ground with unambitious, lazy and incompetent leadership. If and when he restores the club to where it was - a highly competitive League 1 outfit, with solid leadership and recruitment and a culture, a goal that aspires for more, I'll think again about coming.

It takes more than a couple of months of good form for me to change my principles.

That doesn't stop me wanting the best for the team or celebrating any results we have on the field. But I'm not a fickle person, I'll stand by what I believe until a much bigger shift demonstrates real and sustainable change.

I think that there are reportedly significantly wealthy owners, who have taken over a number of clubs.

Gillingham, Tranmere and of course Carlisle come to mind.

Irrespective of their apparent wealth these clubs are struggling and two of them could leave the EFL at the end of the season.

My personal view, is that City is my club. For sure I would love owners who are more proactive. However despite Rupp’s ownership, City are making progress.

Clearly it’s your choice, your opinion and entirely your decision not to attend and nobody will knock it no matter how misguided it could appear to some . . I suspect your wait for a new owner will be long however. One therefore assumes you won’t be renewing your season ticket if you hold one?

One huge contradiction that does puzzle… “ I’m not a fickle person” ? Sorry I don’t understand that bit.

No, I stopped renewing my ST a couple of years ago.

Not fickle = I've stayed away from VP based on a bigger picture, multi-year view of how its being run. I'm not stepping back into VP because we've had 2 months of good form. Just as I didn't choose not to renew on the back of losing a handful of games.

In other words , you’re a glory supporter? A fair weather fan.
The club is better off without fans like you. Stay away.

Oh deary me!!! Please stay away and let the proper fans support our club through thick and thin.
I’m tired of hearing sob stories like yours from some of our fanbase.

Not wanting to turn this into another "does being on TV affect attendance" thread but I'm still certain that lower league football being accessible on TV these days is massively affecting the crowds for certain games.

I agree. At least its accessible at lower cost.

I think back to the 90s when the Champions League was on terrestrial TV for all. That was its heyday.

You appear to relish criticising other fans who have a different view to yours

    .
Mind you, to help everybody understand better, does a 'proper fan who will support our club through thick and thin' include those who will scale back their support if we fail to be promoted this season? Or are they just hypocrites?

We do have some whopper's in our fanbase. Mind you, I suppose every club does.

It certainly makes the decision not to attend “ easier” , especially for a cold winters night fixture. Is it a retrograde step, in the above instance yes..

Oh do give up, at least try to understand his reasonings, whether you agree or not .
