Digital Advertising at VP (Now with Poll)

Personal preference, I suppose. That's the reason my late dad used to like going in the (old) Midland Road - a bit of warmth from the sun on colder days.

Wouldn't mind the cameras being moved full stop.

The atmosphere is a dead as a dodo from where they are currently in situ and they pick up no noise from the kop whatsoever.

It's even more embarrassing when we get a game with full sky coverage and a big away following when all you can hear is away fans

Position them better.

It's inevitable the rest of the ground will follow, it's the digital age and it's more profitable to have 150 moving adverts than 50 static.

I know what you are saying, I find the scoreboard a nuisance at times I just don't know what else the club can do.

Perhaps they will "simmer" over time

 

Never mind the glare, could they have not been positioned centrally?

 

Absolutely shocking trying to follow the ball in the area looking from lower kop.

I'm amazed they can get away with it. A call or email to the club tomorrow from me.

 

Can’t they site them down the sides instead of behind the goals? At times it’s impossible to see what’s happening in the box.

Unbeaten since the change, can’t change a winning formula.

 

The great save from Walker was lost to me because of the brightness of the adverts, seemed to change to white when the ball was near the goal, ridiculous.

 

I was unable to see the ball virtually anywhere in the box in the first half and only knew we had scored when the fans cheered. Shockingly bright and really make it so difficult to see the ball from where I sit in the upper kop. Was like close encounters of the third kind at times.

And I wasn't the only one commenting about the boards causing real issues with seeing where the ball is.

 

Same here. Impossible to see the goalmouth action from the upper Kop.
For anyone who went to Villa Park, they had digital signage all the way round the ground but it was nowhere near as distracting.

Also emailed the club using the address on the City site - still they can't be bothered to answer.

 

Definitely a case of playing spot the ball in the kop when teams attack the Bradford End. Wonder how it affect fans of other clubs who have it installed?
