What a result and what a performance! Has to be one of the best performances we’ve seen from the club in many seasons. Player for player fantastic, all of which out performed their opposition throughout the game. Huge credit to the players, but a special mention to the management team who clearly prepared and guided the team brilliantly today.

Hard to single one player out as every single one was excellent. Thought Halliday and Smallwood were really superb but Alex Pattison - wow! Bar Cook, how long have we watched opposition players and though ‘I wish we had someone like him…” ???
Pattison was that player today - absolutely outstanding!

Shout out for Smallwood as well.
He’s had his critics (justifiably at times) but with legs alongside him he can do his job.

RS was always expected to do the shitty stuff and get forward to help up top.
Now Pattison is fit and flying he takes so much pressure of Smallwood and this enables RS to just do what he’s asked to do.
RS is never going to get 6/10 goals a season but that was never his job.
It’s Pattison’s energy that gets him forward and scoring.
But this can’t be done without someone to break up play and start the attacks.

No need to pick holes at anything today after a top performance from all,including Smallwood!
Defence absolutely superb and when your finishing is clinical as was today, you're bang in it.

It's getting to be a really enjoyable day out again at Valley Parade isnt it.

Fantastic team performance from all the lads today. Maybe a bit unfair to single out players but Alex Pattison and Richie Smallwood particularly were both excellent.

Apart from the 3 well taken goals, brilliant to get another clean sheet against a free scoring team who are averaging over 2 goals a game this season.

Hopefully we break the Derek Adams hoodoo and put Morecambe to the sword now on Tuesday.

I hope Pointon is okay, he was clearly struggling with a knock before being substituted.

 

I thought today we were at them from the first minute and made them look a very average side, overall I was disappointed as I saw them take MK Dons to pieces after going a goal down at home last week but today it was mostly long ball to Matt and long throw ins, roll on Tuesday night.

To be fair to Alexander he didn't moan about missing the likes of Pattison, Sarcevic, Walker and up to a point Wright but we've seen just what Pattison and Sarcevic offer to the team and make Smallwood's job look so easy, mopping up in midfield and giving the ball to lads who can damage teams.
