Thought that when i saw the news earlier, he only signed for them 5 or 6 weeks back. A striker who cant stay fit and cant score goals, nailed on to sign for us sooner or later. Over 30 too, if he had a spell at Middlesborough he'd tick all the usual boxes.

Another i wouldn't be surprised to see us look at is Danny Ward who has been told he can leave Huddersfield it seems. He's 34, cant score goals, had one good season in a decade, misses half the season most of his career injured.

 

Bring him home.

 

Would like to see Tomkinson return on loan. Quick, athletic and will improve with game time.
Could we try for Conn-Clarke on loan? Prolific scoring CM when at Altricnham. Not played much at Posh.

I've no idea, Andy. Obviously, he doesn't actually need the transfer fees to pay for a new car with his wealth. But with the promised investment and sales of Young and Lewis, I personally have not seen how our player budget has gone up. So it begs the question, where has this money gone? Any Pointon sale would leave similar questions no doubt. And still, we have one or two on here sticking up for the man and saying how great he was saving us from Rahic, it beggars belief, it honestly does.

 

Tomkinson got bullied to easily and knocked of the ball too easily . Not game fit , hasn’t featured at all since leaving us ( That’s if WIKI is correct ?)

 

He is indeed. My father in-law was Wards cricket coach in his youth and has said it to me everytime we've ever mentioned local footballers, Huddersfield town or cricket in general for over 10 years!

Not a chance I'd want him though at 34 and not able to score anymore. We have enough of those.

 

I think most fans know, Mr Rupp is not doing this for his love of Bradford city.
We are an investment. to him, and always will be.
Again its hard to say if he has actually put any of his own cash in, i very much doubt it.
There are no guarantee's that any future owner, will be any better.
Unless its an actual football- Bradford city fan, with lots of cash, long arms and shallow pockets.
Oh and slightly crazy as well to risk his own cash.

We need players that can come in and hit the ground running, not ones that are going to take 4-6 weeks to get up to speed.

To be honest, I'm disappointed in Graham Alexander full stop.

He's not for me, which is depressing as the chances of getting better are very slim.

The usual, really. He's very happy with the squad, we've had bad luck with injuries, "just a little bit of tweaking".

We're bang average, though, which seems to be what he aspires to.

I agree with him that we don't need a major overhaul, only tweaking.

You have missed out the bit where he says they are close to adding two new recruits at the beginning of January. One of them is either loan or permanent, waiting for final decision on that from current club.
