I spoke to Mick Lambs son when I picked my Morecambe ticket up and he said Ticketmaster had dumped it on our ticket office to sort out the back log of club/loyalty points out no real suprise there.

Bradford,MK Dons, Harrogate Town, Chesterfield,Port Vale, Morecambe,Notts County, Newport and Swindon Town all use Ticketmaster apparently so expect more problems ahead when it comes to purchasing away tickets.

After last Saturdays pantomime unfortunately away travel may become a thing of the past mate, I'm not prepared to risk going to a games and having to stand for the full 90+ minutes, if you want to stand congregate behind the goal migrate outwards giving a little consideration for those who are happy to watch from possibly an inferior seating position as long as they can sit, its not to much to ask is it ?.

Well I’m not happy to watch from an inferior seat and i’d still want to sit down. What’s the solution?
Like I’ve said before, there seems to be a culture amongst fans all over the country not to sit down at away games. It’s time the authorities acted.
Sitting down does not affect the atmosphere one bit.

I don't have the solution when we take numbers like we are doing its very difficult to manage, I'm far from happy but I'll take a seat nearer the corner flag if it means I can sit in my seat, but I do get your point.

I agree with yourself and @Bronco@Bronco's stances on this.

Those who want to sit, should absolutely be able to do so, with a full view of the match. That being said, I do think there has to be some give and take because there will always be those who choose to stand in seated areas at away games. So if it means getting a slightly less desirable spot in the stand, but it means being able to sit and enjoy the match, then I think that's a fair compromise.

I'm not sure it's a fair compromise but the alternative is to not support my club when we have to sacrifice a decent view for getting there in plenty of time then to see at kick off fans stand up so near the front, I'm sure if we had persisted we could have found 3 seats together without having to stand but in our particular case there were less than 80 fans stood the stewards could and IMO should have told them to sit down.

    Playing Devils advocate here....
Why don't those who want to stand go to the "slightly less desirable" areas and compromise that way instead?

Obviously it's down to the stadium you attend generally i tend to buy seat tickets if an area of an alternative stand is available to away fans but unfortunately not all clubs like Morecambe and Salford give you that choice which in itself creates a problem because you get people who want to stand in an all seater away area.
You can't win unfortunately which isn't ideal I know but it must be said in my experience the closer the away ground to Bradford the more likely you are to come across persistent standing simply due to the number of allocated tickets in all seater stadia close by.

100%!! But they won’t will they because they want to be behind the goal.
The worst people are those standing up on the front rows. It’s just selfish but they don’t care and seem to take some kind of pleasure in doing so.

Simply because they don't give a flying for anyone else, there are numerous instances in everyday life.
People who don't use a set of earphones to listen to their phone, litter louts, people who park badly or in disabled spots the list is endless.
I just don't bother with away games anymore I only go to the places I haven't been before now, so just Colchester and Bromley this year although I know I won't get tickets for the latter.
A section of our 'fans' are arseholes I'm afraid.

its not a new thing, but unless you want to be labelled a moaner you have to suck it up.

I remember 4 or 5 years we were away at blackburn, i had the nipper with me and we had to move four times to get a seat where she could see.

still happens now even though she is a tad taller. Its hard because you get to your allocated seat, unknowning who is infront, generally when they turn up you know if its likely to be an issue but then if you move you have taken someone else's seat, who is rightly pissed off at you.

even worse now that there seems to be a competition around who is the last into there seat or which group of 20 can arrive closest to kick off and pack into 5 seats of their choosing

There’s always someone from the land of the giants that happens to be on the seat in front of me.
Even worse in winter they wear those fecking god awful Pom Pom hats that adds another 4 inches to my obscured view.

I was just on Doncaster's website to have a nosey at how ticket sales are going for the game against us and I came across their article for Notts County tickets and I really like the way they set out the priority points window with numbers of supporters in each band. 5 windows before season ticket holders might be a bit many but I certainly think that if we stick with the 2 windows then it would be useful for everyone to see how many supporters are in the 1st band then 2nd band. It would then help with estimating how likely you are to be in the priority bands for later games.

They'll never disclose eligible supporters numbers because we all know it wouldn't align with the amount of tickets available, due to a discretionary amount being held back for ST sales, certain supporters clubs (heard conflicting whispers about this one), friends/family of players, staff etc.

Interestingly though if there are 1900 tickets available and there are just over 1000 eligible fans with 90 points, why dont they start the sales to fans with 90 points? Why is there a need to give 483 people a day extra?

They could just start at the 50+ level as there are 1894 with 50 points or more but 1985 tickets

Could always be to give them the best choice of seats perhaps, or a little extra time, such being a little privilege of accruing a high number of points.
