What makes you think should he buy the ground he would sell both together
The ground will give him an almost guaranteed income going forward Gibbs done ok out of it
The club doesn't give him in an income and strives to break even
Maybe any thoughts he has of buying the ground is a way to get back some of his initial investment
The way he runs the club it certainly won't repay his investment which is devaluing annually

Fair point, Steve, and this is what I mean when I say this is exactly the scenario we have to avoid.

If Rupp is intent on buying the stadium, it must be with the intention to then sell it on.

As I said I know no more than yourself but going back to my original point that those sort of business negotiations/dealings should not be done in the open, we'll find out once the deal is done, or not.

    Fully agree Jon
My hope is he sells the club without buying the ground give any new owner the chance to negotiate directly with Mr Gibb if indeed he has any intention of selling
I would hate to think a man who in his stewardship has seen the club regress from the verge of the championship to L2 mainstays profit out of the experience

The man deserves nothing for his years of failures in fact he should count his lucky stars if he come out of it with a small loss ..............

Problem is he seems happy to sit it out until he comes out with a profit

Yeah but how many years can he see it out before the club starts losing money ?????

Are the season ticket sales down on last year ?????

If so then we only need a few season if mediocrity before it starts hitting him

Looked it up just under 2k season ticket holders hace gone missing

Absolutely Steve his tenure has been a comedy of errors from day one, IMO patience is running thin and this season iff ends in failure season tickets will take a real nose dive which inturn will bring the future of the club in doubt, this season really is the acid test, its a must for promotion anything less is utter failure and his investment goes down the pan.

Made up for with the price increase I should imagine but thats NOT sustainable in L2
Absolutely no idea why he doesn't cut and run unless he sees it as a failure to not show a profit when he eventually does sell
He must have a team of highly qualified financial advisors to consult i can not imagine they are encouraging him to hang on for a miraculous turn round without investing or at the very least showing an active and financial interest
The whole thing doesn't make sense financially or personally for him
Sadly it's the fans that are suffering year on year failure and deserve better

    Yeah could be right mate
He could possibly (as did Mr Gibb) see the ground and someone else paying him rent as a way of recouping some of his initial investment and not having the hassle of owning the club
Doesn't increase what a prospective buyer of the club and not the ground would be prepared to pay
Just find it all rather odd

can not see how him buying the ground and then not selling it with the club would help him sell for a better price.

I also can not see why Flamingo Land would sell either unless he paid over the odds. If they sell to Rupp as an individual rather than the club they will get a load of bad press and bad feeling from the fans whereas they could just keep hold of a decent investment that has a steady income stream with a tenant with no real other option but to renew

Hope that Mr Gibb has enough about him not to sell to Mr Rupp as an individual or any of his subsidiaries should the ground be sold it needs to be an asset of the club
My fears are that Mr Rupp buys the ground in one of his other companies names and charges the club rent
am sure if that happens he would be gone very quickly for whatever price and just be the landlord creaming rent from us
Rue the day he got involved

Has Rupp actually done anything which he promised from his letters and fan forum?

Well, he said he was going to attend more games this season and he's already been to one so he's ahead of where he was this time last year.

Has Gibb actually said he wants to sell, and to Rupp and the Club? I would have thought his only priority is to the pension fund and securing the best price for it, from whoever, if indeed it is for sale.

I believe that is the case with regards the returns for the pension fund.

My understanding is that now that the ACV (Asset of Community Value) is in place, if Gibb wants to sell and is seeking buyers, then the holders of the ACV are formally notified that this is the case so that they can consider buying the ground. My understanding is that no such 'formal' notification has been given to the holders of the ACV and therefore there is no 'formal' sale process underway.

In all honesty why would he sell ????
Are we as a club in any posistion to force a deal through ???

Only option is to fook off from VP and move up to Odsal and who really wants that.

Sadly Gibb or his pension funds hold all the cards they have made millions on the back of a piss poor deal and still have another 5 years to go.

Unless Rupp is about to play hardball or is about to put a big offer to buy it back then why would he sell
