I deal with listed buildings in Bradford and have never seen rock terrace on any listings, they are approx 150 years old, but have no architectural or historical value.
As for the houses behind the Dallas stand, these are back to backs, similar age and again have nothing special about them.
The issue i understood with Rock terrace was the Council would not put in a compulsory purchase on City's behalf, so the owners asked for a price vastly above what city were willing to pay.

Mark Lawn bought a share of the club From the Rhodes family, Richmond obviously purchased.

Ah but did he realise at the time of purchase the stadium was not part of the deal, I believe FLPF owned the ground at the time not BFG.

Yes I believe Richmond was hoping a compulsory purchase order would benefit the club, but unfortunately Councillor Collard preferred to follow his Wembley of the North project.

Rupps has mislead this great support base and has done this for nigh on 8 seasons. They’ll catch up on him someday I hope. At least GA and the team are doing their bit so far.

I do wonder how the ground negotiations are going (hhahahah)!! All very quiet

Aye quiet in dreamland Bronco where these negotiations and purchases will happen. If he can’t / won’t pay for a top draw budget he ain’t paying for a stadium.

What's with your Dreamland comment I know no more than you I posted keeping any negotiations quite is the correct way to do it
I think your wrong time will tell, as I've posted before he will get a loan for the purchase of the stadium and Bradford city AFC will pay the loan back over a period of time apart from getting the loan it wont be at any financial loss to Rupp, unless you have more information ?.

This! Very convenient that all the talk was about buying the ground back and taking the club forward just before the start of the season and during the transfer window, and now the topic seems to have disappeared off the agenda completely. Hasn’t something similar happened every time there’s potential unrest or a banana skin waiting to be stood on? Con artists!

The problem with that is, we will still be paying that loan off long after he has gone. He could buy the ground and write off any loss without a long term burden to the club.

Im not wholly convinced we suddenly become a whole more attractive proposition, with the ground in our name.

If anyone was serious about buying us, they could purchase the club now on the cheap and be in a fairly strong position to negotiate a sale with Gibb especially with the lease coming to an end.

Buying the club in say two years whilst Rupp/city own the stadium then suddenly the price has gone up by a fair few million and he literally holds the keys to any sale

Wasn't there a delay on the ground thing? Something about the Supporters Trust?

I don't think this has been mentioned before, but Ryan Sparks provided an update on the ground at the Supporters Board meeting of 1 August 2024:

"RS confirmed that there is a united desire between the club, owner and landlord for City to play at Valley Parade and that positive discussions are continuing regarding ownership of the stadium. RS advised that the club had received a letter informing of the ACV application and clarified that the clubs understanding is that if the landlord accepts an offer for the sale of the stadium there is a six-week window for a fans group to also submit an offer, should they desire to. Confirmation that a campaign to raise the necessary funds is underway must then be received within that six-week window. If that was the case then the window would be extended to six months to enable the fund raising campaign to be completed.

RS shared that this is not viewed as a development that is likely to prevent the owner purchasing the stadium.

In addition, RS posed the question of whether it was felt that there would be an appetite amongst supporters to attempt to purchase the stadium. The group felt there may be a level of interest amongst the supporter base but attracting the number of supporters and level of funds likely to be required for the purchase of the stadium and ongoing funding of the significant annual maintenance & running costs would be unlikely.

Fine with that as long as SR is buying the stadium in order to sell the club.

What we absolutely must avoid as a club is some bizarre scenario where Rupp sells the club yet somehow owns the stadium and we're back to square one.

Let's be real, Rupp buying the stadium might ease our financial burdens with him at the helm, but he's shown zero ability to take this club forward, so his buying the stadium alone does nothing to move us forwards on the pitch. He must still sell, but if this is the only way to get him out the door, as bizarre as that seems, then I will support it.

I would assume that the six week period commenced prior to the Supporters Board meeting on the 1st August? Irrespective of that, even if it did start on that date, then the six week period elapsed yesterday 12th September 2024. I haven’t seen anything to suggest that a credible Supporters based campaign to raise the necessary funds has been launched. Anyone else know of any campaign?
