I've just figured out it's the club Sparks quoted a 'ridiculous fee' to.

Maybe Sparks has gone back cap in hand?

 

A player that will never play is more important than a striker that can score the goals to win us promotion?

 

But what if the lad, for whatever reason, simply doesn't want to go to Fleetwood. He might just want to play football but no point signing a deal somewhere you don't want to be.

Not one of our fanbase would have turned that money down and lets not forget thatcwe where hardly in the posistion to turn thatvkind of money down for a player that wasnt showing any kind of potential.

 

Lots of players will be offered football at clubs that aren't their first choice. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up.

Jake Young not playing is infinitely worse for Jake Young than playing somewhere you don't really wanna be.

Consider it paying it forward.

Doyle looked horrendous in preseason.

He's well past it.

 

Even at Derby he looked fooked dispite a clean sheet and that was in January.

By the end, he couldn't manage goal kicks (though it could have been a case of shithousery)

 

He obviously had something as he had trials at Man Utd. Im just saying alot of our fans were shocked Swansea came in for him based on what we had seen. A lot of us laughed and we were wrong.

My comparison was with the Young to Derby rumours. Similar situation and not at all impossible, albeit unlikely on the face of it.

Also, you have absolutely zero idea what Young has or hasn’t done in regards to contract negotiations or what his options really are, your basing your opinion on Twitter rumours.

 

Was hoping to see someone at Hollins Hall this morning. Popped onto the gym but no luck. I know we use it as a club hotel for travelling players. Spotted Osadebe there before his signing a few years back and Glynn Hodges was practically living there for the Hughes spell.

 

I think folk at the time were perplexed he wasnt getting a game after scoring 4 goals in 12 for us.

In hindsight, he was right about Hughes. How many on here sad to see him go?

 

We don’t have to let him go at all! He has a contract with City for a year, with an option.

 

I agree we don't all get to work at our first choice workplace, but it doesn't mean we have to work somewhere we absolutely don't want to be. I'm just speculating anyway, but I can fully understand that he might not want to go there. In that case he's better off here.

 

Forced out after three months is harsh, he left for Barrow having not made a dent on our any of our opponents nets, or Barrows opponents when on loan there. Fair enough he forced forced out to Swindon, but he had been here a year and barely made a ripple.

There are two sides to every story and the truth sits somewhere in the middle, but the fact is that GA is a very experienced manager and if he thinks Young isn't putting enough effort in to training to justify picking him, then I take GA over a rookie who has never played a full season.

Let's not paint Young as some innocent victim here. If he really wanted to be at Bradford City he would be busting a gut knocking GA's door down to pick him.

 

That's not entirely true is it ? Hughes had a reputation of very poor man management at various other clubs. If you want proof of that just listen to what Danny Murphy has to say about him when he was at Fulham.

 

Yes if Walker got injured and we had to play Doyle.

 

In that case he will have to something different or else it will be another half a season wasted in a short career
