The main one is despite Alexander wanting to keep him apart from a cameo in the Grimsby match he hasn’t impressed him enough to even make the squad. Either it’s his general attitude or he has had his head turned by his agent trying to manufacture a deal so that any buying club can sign him on the cheap.

So the medical of our latest loan recruit takes place today and we are looking to recruit one more player next week.
Apparently we have a list of three perspective targets.
Surely it's got to be a back up keeper.

 

Or Johnson is even more of a crock than the club are letting on.

Yeah i can see it being a late teens early 20s loanee from PL/CH to be the bench keeper for the season. If we are bringing in Joe Adams today, i guess he is comfy with Smallwood being our only DM? I dont get the Adams move really, we seem to be stacked with attacking midfielders as it is.

Maybe another CB if one of quality is available and a clear upgrade, or if Stubbs leaves.

 

That crossed my mind but Alexander identified an area that he felt we were still short of personal, which was highlighted the other day in the behind closed doors game.
It's also been mentioned we are in a position to strengthen in January if required.
Let's see what transpires over the coming days but I can not see this period passing us bye without at least one departure.

 

As I said previously, you can only get an emergency keeper in if you don't have a fit senior keeper on your books, who has played less than five first team games. We have Doyle, so if he's fit we couldn't get one in.

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if the first deal is Young on a swap deal.

 

Our transfer business since the end of last season has been a bit odd to say the least, but I think the club was a bit naive in the thinking we'd be able to offload Oliver, McD and 1 or 2 others easily which hasn't happened and as a result they're trying to bodge together a different approach. While in the mean time interest from L1 clubs has come in for Young which has him interested and rightly so, in which the club have seen this as an opportunity to help repair a bit of mess. The result of this probably will mean Oliver staying which despite his much criticism I don't have a huge problem with because at the end of the day he's a huge lump to throw on in desperate measures when struggling for ideas late in games and down here in the pits of L2 sometimes that's what's needed, not ideal obviously but we are where we are. The new rumours doing the rounds of another midfielder coming in now also makes me wonder if someone has shown interest in Walker given his little game time in the first 2 league games although I hope I'm wrong. Just to add to this also regarding the players we were hoping to offload I wouldn't be surprised to see any of them take a loan offer from non league after the window shuts with us paying a big chunk of the wages as a damage limitation, I could be wrong but I think non league teams can still do loan signings beyond the window.

 

I can see a few leaving in the coming days. Stubbs, Gilliead, Macdonald and Young. Maybe Richards if he thinks Oduor and Wright can fill the LWB spot.
