MK good side expected to do well. They made a few chances which would be expected playing at home after a good preseason we conceded one probably sat back to early but we conceded one and won the game carrying on from how we finished last season

 

MK lack the focal point of the attack same as last season. Had they had that today they would have won hands down.

 

We had that and won.

 

I'll put my neck on the line, MK Dons will finish higher than us based.on what I saw today, only my opinion but I'll stand by it.

 

Toothless up front ? We have Cook whose record speaks for itself. Kavanagh is a decent prospect, if Young stays he will score if he leaves, another striker will be brought in.You would have wanted us to splash £7K per week on Charlie Wyke and that believe me would have been a disaster. For the record we have now scored 17 goals in our last 8 league games.

 

Where? Cook was taken off. Let's see how many more teams miss sitters like that this season.

 

It was exactly that lack of a plan B that had me convinced we'd win today, I was certain he'd play the same way he did when we walloped them at VP - it was a bit nervy in the end but if we were better today we could have got a couple more on the break as well as the two we got by pressing them so hard early doors

 

Port Vale will finish above MKD

I'll put money on it, they looked a good side with the ball as we expected, now with the new owners they should be more than capable of a top 3 finish.

 

Let’s all at least enjoy the win tonight, it may go wrong in the next few weeks but there are some City fans who you can tell are a bit disappointed tonight as they can’t continue the summer gloom. We won, rode our luck at times ,but so do a lot of teams who win at Valley parade. Enjoy the evening City fans. Six league wins in a row now and our 4th successive away win.

Kavanagh broke free in 75th minute. That pass to Pattison was lazy and thought he was clever with it. It was horrific and embarrassing a pro cannot do such a simple thing in a critical area.

Decisions like that can be the differemce between top 3 and play off heartache.

 

Halliday was outpaced and lost his man. Its as simple as that.
