The position of the possible loan signing wasn't stated although Simon Parker suggested it could have been a midfielder. We'll probably never know.

 

He did but he also said that after the midfielder deal fell through we were targeting a different loan and we were fighting against three other clubs for that player. Then Sharpe said that we were trying to get a loanee in this week and hinted at it being a LCB.

I love the fact we’re doing this camp. The benefits could be priceless in terms of team bonding etc. Obviously GA has tried and tested the venue with previous clubs, and I think you can just tell there seems to be some element of togetherness from that photo. Unlike the Spain crap last summer

Last minute bid by Carlisle apparently (surprise, surprise). Expected to be announced later today.

 

Whoever may or may not join us in the next few weeks, will likely start on the bench. It must be frustrating for Alexander having firstly wanted the players in before the start of preseason, then before the first game of preseason, then before Austria. I suppose you never know, having this squad in the from the start might just be the missing ingredient for a successful season. Let's hope so eh.

No parts were quite enjoyable, compared to what Hughes team dished up, to some it could be classed as an appalling season but I believe the squad that finished the season with a few added will a very competitive squad this coming season, which I believe is capable of finishing in the top 7.
