    Here's another take on this.

He had an offer from Walsall but his agent wanted to see if he could get a better deal. So he rang City (along with other clubs) to see if City wanted him. Answer No. End of discussion.

It all depends on what your agenda is .

Sorry Kev that was not the case Mark Lawn was not the one who wanted out that was Julian Rhodes and as the Rhodes family had the majority share holding Mark had little choice.

Unless I've misread, which is possible, the point im responding to is that Parky left us with a good squad, which im disputing.

In essence he left us with the starting point of one in Clarke, Darby, McMahon, Meredith, McArdel & Hanson of which only Meredith played significantly more than half the games, the and none outside of the above were worthy of not, being even less than squad fillers.

He actually left us pretty threadbare. Rahic made many many mistakes later, but he and Stuart take more credit for the 'success' of 2016/ 17 than Patky. If Rack (or is he ruin ?) hadn't lost the plot in late 2017, who knows what would have happened.

Its there to read I never mentioned the squad Parkinson left in that post, but as I replied reading your in depth reply the squad he left wasn't as strong as I originally thought, but it does not detract from my point they got lucky once Parky walked.
I've never given Parkinson credit for the 2016/17 season ?.

We are all assuming that GA intends to play 3 at the back. Finishing last season that way isn't proof he will start this season that way.

He may have used 343 because that's how he wanted to fit the players he had.

There's a chance we could all be wrong and he kicks off at MKD with a back four.

I can see Stubbs being a regular starter, he was certainly putting himself through it at training very impressive leading from the front with regards what the fitness guys were asking of that particular group I saw.

Anyone putting the effort and work rate in deserves to be considered, that's what other teams have got and we sometimes haven't, as well as spirit and fight..

I think the whole team was a problem, not specifically the right back. I don't think Luke Hendrie ever let anyone down and Caddis (who I personally thought was a bit of a mercenary) had most people on here jizzing themselves

    Adedokun.

He's under contract for almost two years, signed a new one at the start of the year, so I'd assume it would be a loan.

That's certainly partially true. It was JR who encouraged ML to have his loan repaid with some of the cash from the league cup run. It was jointly agreed ultimately between JR and ML. It wasn't anything to do with the Rhodes family itself. Although a third of the shares were held by the Prof, they were non voting shares so for all intents and purposes when it came to making decisions, JR and ML were in it 50:50. The Rhodes' were not majority shareholders in any real sense.
