Ironically he covered for the long term injury Brad Halliday suffered with when they were both at Fleetwood.

Good versatile signing to provide good cover in my opinion

Om paper a good right back who can cover CB if needed. But Halliday has right back sewn up and Johnson doesn't seem the sort of player to be wanting to be a back up. Hope we don't try and shoehorn two right backs into the first eleven.

If we needed a right back I'd have said this signing ticks all the boxes bar the amount of games he's played. But we don't, we really need a quality left back and specialist centre backs.

Can’t complain too much about signing a player with a successful track record in a higher division and multiple promotions. Think he’ll make a decent understudy to Halliday.

Sarcevic and Johnson appear to be 2 good signings, although we already have strong players in their respective positions. Our success next season will hinge on the calibre of players we recruit for the CB and LWB positions.

 

This signing certainty strengthens the Squad Johnson for Hendry and Johnson is known for his versatility so all in all another positive signing

Whatever. Right back is the last position I'd have signed someone for, only 1 year, hey... basically this year's Oyegoke.

 

Fairly confident he will slot in at RCB and will also be an option for RWB as a backup which probably means we will see another CB come in. We are still in need of a LWB and would look to bring in James Husband from Blackpool.

Good player but injury record is a concern, suppose it’s a year of the worst happens so not much to lose. That said other areas need strengthening more.
