We’ve seen worse in the last fortnight!!

 

I think this season I've seen the worst performance in many a year with 3 or 4 that were not far behind. My worst performance this season for me was the MK dons away, we should have lost that 8 or 9 followed by awful performances Morecombe, Tranmere and Swindon have I missed any

 

GA has been here for a while now and he seems nowhere near deciding on a consistent approach to dealing with the players he's inherited. Every game sees a different formation and different players in different positions. What exactly is he trying to achieve? How does he really want to play? Does he have a favoured system? I sympathise with him because he's inherited a disjointed group recruited by his predecessors but you'd have thought he could have brought a little of bit of coherence by now. But he seems to be exactly like the previous journeymen who travel from club to club achieving very little. How did he envisage Wright fitting into the team? Does he think Kavanagh is a wide player? And does he really think Young is a target man? It's all, yet again, mystifying.

 

You're right about MK Dons being the worst.

That should have been a complete toweling.

A nothing of a performance, a nothing of a result. Sadly outside of the EFL trophy I don’t see anything exciting ahead of us on field for the rest of the season. Yes, to be fair in periods todays we were better, but that’s coming from a really low base.

Without Walker and Pattison we have no endeavour.

GA clearly doesn’t know his strongest side so I’d prefer in the league he already starts bedding in an approach towards next season and uses / gives opportunity to those he sees been part of it.

It was disgraceful wasn’t it. And to add insult to injury I wasted half a days bastard holiday off work for it

 

I think he is scratching his head tbh. Why wouldn’t he Hughes could not get a tune out of them either. The other problem he has is his approach to team selection; training and previous game. If you come through both of those then you are in the squad. This lend itself to inconsistent team selection.

 

Meanwhile Vadaine Oliver has started the last two games for Stevenage and they've won them both.

Maybe because he doesn’t want a manager’s job and therefore has never applied for one? Just guessing, like.

On the other hand, he has applied for and been given a job where he’s required to give opinions based on his football knowledge and experience, as a live analyst. So wouldn’t it be a bit strange if he didn’t express those opinions?

Since when did anyone have to have been a football manager in order to critique a football match?

 

Didn't go today but watched on Ifollow while away on hols in Cape Verde, so obviously as you can imagine I was never going to be too bothered with the outcome either way. Anyhow however disappointing me and many others appear to have been so far with many of GAs tactics etc so far I'm prepared to give him the benefit of doubt and allow him a pre season transfer window to assemble his own additions to the squad before really throwing toys out the pram, although in all honesty I can't help think he's seriously missing a trick, he should be really going for games attacking wise especially at home as they are pretty much a free hit, instead he's trying to sort out our defensive game which is all well and good but this has come at a huge cost to our attacking side, and if he'd factored in the fact we were never going down and the fans enthusiasm is very low then he'd be much more respected/appreciated if he realised this and just went for it every game.
