Club Statement

    Surely there needs to be a statement from the Club, following the growing disenchantment with how things are progressing.

    Given that Ryan Sparks had a Public Relations background, and when he initially came to the club, was regularly providing sound bites, then this is the time to put something out.

    Irrespective of the decaying performances on the pitch, the whole issue of the way forward, needs to be addressed.

    The ball is firmly in his and the clubs court.

    That told us nothing.

    And was behind a paywall.

    Radio silence from the club lately is so weird. We have no engagement at all with the club. Love to know how much Rupp actually knows about the day to day of City and it's current relationship with the fanbase.

    The mention of Darren Moore earlier today brought back memories of the fans' forums the club used to run with local supporters' groups. I attended many of those held at the George III in Queensbury. It was usually the manager and a couple of players answering questions for an hour and then chatting with everyone afterwards. I remember chats with Stuart, Lee Mills, Robbie Blake, Bruno himself and many more. Great nights. Can you imagine the club doing anything like that these days?

    Geoffrey Richmond attended one at Great Horton working men's club and I remember the mood not being particularly good before the meeting and by the end he had everyone eating out of his hand! He was certainly a very astute talker was GR.

    He loved the adulation, I recall just after he was going to walk away from the club and (T&A Journo) Jim Greenhalf talked him out of it, he attended a forum at Undercliffe cricket club. He was in his element at the lavish comments he was getting..I loved him until it sadly went pear-shaped.
