GA said yesterday about how slow we were in certain aspects

Throw ins.
That’s solely down to the players and especially the captain to make sure these things happen.
He’s a woeful captain/leader and shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team.
If you didn’t see the toss up at the start of the match you would have no idea who our captain was.

Other players see how weak he is and I don’t think he has the talents to get anybody going and offers nothing as a captain.

 

Will it make any difference,we get humiliated most Saturdays anyway. A 5-0 walloping at Wrexham will be no different to losing 4-2 at home to Crawley or how I feel today.

 

At the moment,we dont have anyone to drive forward from midfield,with Walker and Pattison both injured,Smallwood seems to have given up,and Gilliead runs around a lot to little effect,so maybe GA thinks the only way to get up field is to lump it.That might be ok if we had a target man,but we dont,so it all breaks down.

 

We didn't lump it against Derby. We had MacDonald feeding the ball forward to Pointon and Chapman. Now maybe that weakens us defensively, also pretty sure MacD can't do a full 90, but it's got to be worth a go in the league. It can't get much worse

 

We have to fit in 18 games in 12 weeks,i am not sure McDonald is up to that,but certainly anything is worth a try at the moment.

 

Ok, so try McDonald, Chapman and Pointin then. Or McDonald, Gillead and Chapman.
We’ve main played Smallwood and Gillead and it just doesn’t work.

Smallwood went through a period of playing well but now he is firmly back to his shit performances.

He is a worse captain than Josh Wright.

 

Nah, Wright was the worst I can remember by some distance.

 

Not plenty. There was large number in the “give him the benefit of the doubt” camp. I won’t buy it.

I think the greatest fear I have is seeing Sparks as the only person managing the football side of things outside of the actual manager.

If Gent were to go he'd need to be replaced the next day.

Smallwood is worse and he has played at a highly level more often.

 

But you rated Josh Wright, so everyone is going to be a worse captain than him to you.

 

Had forgotten that we'd had Turnbull in the Gent role before Ryan changed tack yet again and got rid so dreary Derek could bring his own scouts in before changing tack again and bringing Gent in......strategy, plan, nah!!!

 

Don't forget as well that Gent was not in a recruitment role before he came to us and didn't even apply for the job. Sparks still thought he was the best man for the job though.

 

Letting Adams dictate the club hierarchy was utter insanity.

 

You know how it works with some in here Jon, same as with managers, the newest is always the worst. Some were saying Hughes was up there with our worst ever managers, it’s always the way. The next guy to wear that bit of material who is in a poor team will then become the worst ever and so on.

I didn't like AOC but he was a lot better than Wright when he wasn't throwing tantrums.
