Rupp & Sparks Out?

There will be plenty of people out there with deep knowledge of football who can also think strategically. Absolute respect to Stockport for how they have rebuilt themselves. Yes it has taken money, but money well-spent as part of an overall plan.

 

Also, the more people see you don't know what you are doing, the more they will take advantage of you. Which is why Sparks should be nowhere near contract negotiations.

 

I think you can probably tell that he didn’t want to stand in the way of recruitment and was (on the face of it) reluctant to say no to Hughes, despite publicly stating we were going for a leaner and meaner squad. He was in fact correct, we should’ve been leaner and meaner but with his inexperience and lack of strength to challenge Hughes and Gent, we’ve ended up where we are.

 

There is no long term plan no nothing.

If we are gonna end up midtable then NOW is to start planning for next season and that is getting rid of that piss poor recruitment team.

Time and time again they have failed they may pull out the odd gem but its watered down with complete shite

If I was an out of work manger with a reasonably good CV in the lower leagues I'd find a club like Bradford City massive challenge, great support both home and away, were given to believe a top 4 budget (which would only improve if they brought us success) the starting point would be to get our season back on track and improve from there a little like Phil Parkinson did when he was given the job.

 

I agree, my expectation levels are at an all time low. Alexander was never first choice of the CEO but now has to be given at least till the end of next season to build a decent outfit.

 

I agree, the only issue Bradford City have at the moment is that patience is running thin. Poor results and the pitchforks are out. I’m not blaming the fans but I sometimes think we need to look at what role we play in deterring players and managers from joining. Some clubs are renowned for sticking with managers, some are known as quick fire. I fear we’ve become one of the latter, sack, reset, fail and repeat.

 

Any manager worth his salt would love to come here if the set up was right.
You basically come here and get it right and your stock would dramitacally rise.
I seriously hope GA has the balls to actually get rid of the shite within that squad and has the balls to turn down the shit that Gent and co are gonna send his way in January.

We nail the recruitment side and give GA time then im sure he will get it right but sadly i doubt he will see 18 months out unless something is done to the scouting set up

 

I think with Gent, City will let him run his contract down and then GA can bring in his own guys.
Meanwhile still use the Gent player database just gaffa tape his gob shut.

Trueman another one whose contract is up in the summer?
Plus the current head of performance/physio's/fitness could do with an upgrade unless they are on jobs for life

Why do we need a reset if everyone's doing a great job?

 

He also states what I posted some time ago, that apart from chancers there have been no genuine bidders who would pass the EFL test. The post from Norman Corner about Dutch bidders and Americans was pure fantasy.

 

In another article, Sparks confirms they are getting at least one approach a month and it's very time consuming.
