For me, the die was cast on the first day of the season with the 3-5-2 formation and the players starting, which had most of us scratching our heads before the start as to how would that work.

We've had the Hughes attempt to get us to play wing-backs without the players capable of dong this. Then switching to a back 4 midway through the game.

It feels like every player has had a bit of time on the pitch in various positions. In 16 games, we must have had upwards of 30 different line ups/players in use already. Yes, some of this has been enforced because of injuries. However, there is no consistency, no opportunity for partnerships and understanding to develop on the pitch and as a consequence we are now flailing around hoping for a bit of luck. I'm not knowledgeable on professional football training, but I can't see how the work we do during the week is adding much, if we are continually tinkering with the team - other than making sure we are running around a bit.

This is a serious mess now.

 

If you look at our squad almost every one, apart from the loans, has been signed from a club that has been happy to see them go. I think that speaks volumes.

 

No new manager will change the awful attitude of these players.Big clear out needed.

He had a decent second half but I agree, I never get excited when I see him teed up outside of the box, I know it's either rolling into the keepers hands or lobbed into row Z

 

Agree forget hughes its the attitude of these players. They've given up time and time again all season....they don't care so I don't care about them anymore

 

Don’t fall into the trap of coming out with something bonkers, nothing to do with a football solution. Odd that seems to be in short supply……?

 

fecking hell it look's shocking laid out like that! Couple of lengthy injuries and we could seriously be worrying about relegation (if our January window goes as well as our summer one)

 

I started reading The Diary of a CEO last night. Rule 1 is about learning the relevant knowledge, then applying it which in turn develops skills. He told a story of an employee who took his first CEO job before he was ready and the business was screwed after 18 months. Sparks is clearly applying the right skills for off the field matters, but I couldn’t help but feel there were similarities to the story. Mediocrity is a pipe dream right now.

This is another thing that the hierarchy at the club have constantly stated would be addressed when signing players.

Turns out it’s just another crock of shite statement that the club churns out.

 

When we levelled,I said to my brother watch us go backwards and Sutton to score a winner.These players attitude stinks.

 

Of the top of my head we made just 1 good signing pre season and that was Pattison, but tbh I don't even count him when it comes to giving anyone at the club any credit because he was Harrogates best player last season a club on our doorstep and out of contract, so it was an absolute no brainer of a signing which would of required very little if any pursuasion to sign with it having no family relocation etc.

 

He was only our second choice. We could have ended up with the lad who went to Gillingham.

OK, thank you for sharing your Rupp agenda. How does that explain the numerous times we lose to bang out of form teams during the pre- Rupp era?

This has continually happened to this club for many many years.

 

Not sure how he's been getting on at Gillingham but he was seen as a good quality addition so we should of been looking at signing them both not one or the other.

 

I don't know how he's getting on, other than he hasn't scored for them.
