Think the critisim of Sparks is a little over the top as who else would bring the match ball on the pitch with a remote controlled car.cut him some slack

And yes you are right, bad luck has also played a part recently. However Sparks confounded many by dispensing with his services and the decision is the right one at the end of the day.

A couple of sentences will do , because all I read in that thread is guesswork, supposition and innuendo. A little pointer will suffice, so I can put some flesh on the bones of what you are saying. I’m open minded, without referring to a thread I have read already Steve.

I thought so. I can’t find anything to support what you said, hence the curiosity.

 

The suggestion from a poster on here was Rupp had visited and/or stayed with Rhodes when he came over recently, not in a hotel.

Take your head of your butt Fordy. I'd also like a new owner but they ain't exactly queuing up. As for Sparks, every managerial appointment is a shot in the dark. Derek Adams looked a decent appointment, Mark Hughes looked like it could work, it didnt. Hardly anyone wanted Steve Evans, personally I would have been happy to see him here to at least get us promoted, I would certainly welcome him here now. Despite what people think his football isn't "route one" but the ball is moved forward quicker and Andy Cook would get the sort of service he needs. He would love to manage this club and would soon win over the fans.

 

Why?

 

It is not going to happen. He actually has a job in league 1. We cannot afford to pay off Stevenage and match his lg 1 salary. On top of that why would come to us much lower down the food chain. So it is pointless keeping putting him in the arena.

 

If he comes as assistant to Heckingbottom I'll not complain.

 

I wasn't putting him forward as an option just that I would be happy to see him here.

 

Out of interest do you know how much Steve Evan's is getting paid at Stevenage? Phil Wallace owns 91% of the club and although not a poor man he isn't mega wealthy, he is CEO of Lamex who the stadium is named after.
