Can we return to Wembley a decade later and win the League Two play off final ?.

It's just impossible to call. Any successful predictions at this stage are just lucky guesses. One thing I am certain of is that our play off fate will go down to the final game. If we get there it's really anyone's guess.

 

I think it will still be mathematically possible to get auto going into the Orient game but it will rely upon other teams slipping up on the last day.

I said on another thread the other week, I have zero confidence that we have enough players with the adequate bottle to see out a Wembley final, the Millwall loss still hurts so another one will be heartbreaking

 

I don’t think this team is good enough or has the mentality to win the playoffs personally. I think Mansfield look like most likely winners and after last years bad defeat to Port Vale will have even more determination to win.

 

Anything can happen in the playoffs. That is if we actually get in them which at the moment could go either way. Unfortunately this side doesn't have the same quality as the 2013 side, it ain't far off but that midfield struggles too much for me.

 

The big difference between this team and 2013 is mentality for me, we bottle games too often. It doesn’t help that VP is so tense in the stands in comparison to then either but ultimately we’ve a soft underbelly.

 

Not sure what's ahead but the number of times this season we have failed to kick on in pivotal games gives me a slight feeling of trepidation about the final outcome.

Most people I speak to seem confident we will make the play offs I wish I was Northampton are breezing home Crewe have improved and we play the champions on the last day who will be up for it as most teams are with a big gate to play in front of and shut up.

The atmosphere was toxic in the 20 mins today, doesn't help the players at all.

Crichlow was a nervous wreck after his error led to their early goal and the vitriol pouring from the kop did him no favours.

Yes, I know the players should be able to handle it, but it was over the top and way out of order on my opinion

And the man who sets the tactics was to blame for that inviting pressure and mistakes right rom the start causing uncertainty and panic. Stupid dead ball routine and attempts at playing out from the back. The crowd hate it and I bet secretly the players do as well. Having said all that the rows reaction was very harsh

 

If we don't make the play offs, surely it's the managers fault.
He's assembled the squad.
He dictates the tactics.

Even premier league teams have come unstuck trying to do it in recent times. For me, at any level it's a dodgy tactic. At league 2 level it's complete madness. To do it today, knowing how the fans feel about it and knowing how we needed to be on the front foot from the off was beyond madness.
