    Looks decent.

    And certainly an upgrade on Foulds, who sadly has regressed since Wright was moved from left wing and then left.

    When Costelloe signed Hughes said he likes to get someone in before someone leaves. I wonder if someone will be off? Or maybe Liam unfortunately is out for the season?

    Another day - another loan. A sad reflection of our close reason recruitment, when it's only mid January and we've already had to bring another five in. All these loan signings reek of a short term, sticking plaster job.

    With this signing I was thinking the opposite. He'll have one year left of his three year contract at the end of the season. If he does well then maybe we'll try and make it permanent.

    But if he does well we would then have stiff competition. Why not just do the due diligence first, decide on your targets and get them in permanently.

    Isn't this why we've got the recruitment department? To identify signings rather than bringing in inexperienced players on loan and if they look decent battle it out with everyone else to sign them?

    I make it seven full backs now on the books- Halliday, Hendrie, Cousin-Dawson, Threlkeld, Foulds, Ridehalgh and Bola. I guess the more you sign, the greater the chance of finding a decent one.
