    He won’t let Gilly go anywhere, neither would I. I don’t get the negativity towards him, sometimes. He’s even better in this new format.

    Even better than below average?

    Sorry Kevin, I'm not having it. His statistics over his career here are terrible and 2 decent games since the formation shift doesn't mean he's not been largely poor this season.

    Mark Hughes picks him Dave because he doesn’t have anyone better player for the role he wants in the 11 .Yes I agree the new formation suits him. Of course there are better players who could fulfill the role, but not in our squad as yet.?

    How about the stat that he's the made the 6th most tackles per game of any player in the division this season? He's had far more than just these 2 good games. The issue is that there's an agenda against him with some fans and they judge on things that nobody else gets judged on.

    Hes the most frustrating player I've seen since Leigh Palin in the 80s. Can produce moments of magic but I've seen better players in league 2 this season in the positions he's played and I expected a better return from a player with his CV. I expect better because he clearly has some technical ability.

    Agree. Squad player on the bench fine for now. But im not forgetting months of shite just because he pkayed well in 2 games we won.

    Id like another CM and if not, maybe Osadebe is that man.

    That's probably true but also a damning indictment of our recruitment if Alex Gillead is in our top two central midfielders. Especially when it was recognised as a weak point by most during the summer.

    TBF i dont think the bad injuries to Eisa, Osadebe and Walker helped. We went out and signed 3 wingers the week after so maybe had to alter our strategy and targets.

    We could have done with another CM but wide men were needed first.
