Agree with all this Olly. What we should also remember is that Hughes is still learning about the tactical nature of life in League 2 - nothing he's ever really faced before. He's signed, what, seventeen new players now and it'll take a while for that squad to gel. We're currently one off the play-offs, let's see how things look in the New Year when he's got a system rolling.

I feel there may be some confusion going on here between Mark 'Sparky' Hughes and our CEO, Ryan Sparks.

 

Hughes likes playing the way he does and seems very loath to change. I think if we want the automatics this season he will have to be a bit more adaptable

 

I reckon he will, he's not DA my way or the highway. He needs to succeed and I think he's going to be able to suss out what's needed at this level.

 

Really!!!? He's adapted his tactics regularly through the end of last season and into this and continues to do it week to week, depending on who we're playing. He's been the epitome of adaptable.
