Posting a photo online or anywhere else isn't going to scupper a deal. If they were that worried they should have draped a towel over his head like they do with criminals. Lets face a lot of people already knew about 4 or 5 of the signings we made due to good 'detective' work.

 

Not really, doesn't matter which division you are in, the lower teams generally create lower amount of chances.

 

MH talking about departures in the T&A over the next month or so, nobody named specifically.

The squad looks top heavy now to me and we definitely need to trim the numbers in my opinion.

Yep, and maybe don't take said player into the club shop in the middle of the day if you are that desperate to keep them under wraps. The pic was taken and posted by someone doing some work at VP, it could just have easily been taken by someone who'd gone down to buy a shirt.

 

I don't get this animosity towards a player who did well and scored goals here when he came on loan from Mansfield a guy who started well along side Angol then when Angol got injured played basically as a loan man up top, he then gets injured comes back still without a recognised partner and still finishes up as our leading scorer.
Of course he misses chances every striker does, more so in lower devisions, let's see how he performs under Hughes.

 

I've no animosity towards him, I just don't think he's mobile enough and he stops us pressing from the front because he can't run. IMO we need better to get promoted.

 

I don't think there.is any animosity toward Cook Dave, merely opinions on his level as a player. I can't fault the guys effort, ive backed him whe others have thrown insults his way like being overweight. But personally I think he's just a bang average league 2 striker, and I'd like to see us get a better calibre of player in like we have with Chapman and Smallwood.

 

Well until the players the club have brought in prove they are better IMO Cook is very much a part of this squad and hopefully part of a promotion squad, time will tell.

 

I think after watching Angol’s interview today, he could be the Artful Dodger….”re re wind…when the crowd says BO SELECTAH!” (One for the 90’s kids).

 

Time will tell. I'm not sure he's going to be happy with 20 minutes off the bench.

If we are in for Oliver and Quigley then someone must be leaving.

 

I can only repeat what I've posted to yourself and @HUDDERSSBANTAM during his time at the club with the poor standard of manager, football, and players he's done well, I'm not sure how that can be challenged in both seasons he's been with us he's been our top scorer if he is in Hughes thoughts I believe he'll continue to do well this coming season.

 

I said this weeks ago. Whatever people think about Cook, something you can't knock him for is his desire to start every game. He initially came to us on loan because he was desperate to play and wasn't getting the game time at Mansfield. If he's going to be in a similar position here next season, he might be up for moving on if he has the opportunity to go somewhere he is more likely to be a guaranteed starter.

 

I don't think he's in MH's plans. Towards the end of the season MH went with Angol instead.
He's added Harratt and what looks like Oliver.
We won't run with 4 Strikers for 1 spot, presuming MH continues with a lone striker.

 

Andy Cook’s record is about as solid as you can get. Whoever we bring in, we’ll be weaker without him. Whatever people’s opinion is of him, he gets goals. I for one will be gutted if he moves on. He is EXACTLY the type of player we need on the pitch and in the dressing room. First name on the team sheet for me.

 

Not sure he will be coming off the bench, from what we have seen of him pre-training he's certainly looking fitter.
As I posted to Al even under Adams he played well with Angol as his strike partner as you say time will tell.

 

That's not true. If Oliver comes in and is better than Andy Cook, we won't be weaker without him.
