    Having listened to West Yorkshire Sports on the way home on Saturday, they were sceptical about the wage requirements Walker could have.
    They also pointed out he had a young family and may not be happy to move South on a permanent basis.
    Still a deal has been done which meets his needs, which is excellent news.

    Fantastic signing, looked a class above on his first game when he’d not played football for a year. Full pre season and keep him fit and he’ll hit double figures. Only player at the club that when he’s on the ball in and around the box I think goal rather than covering my head. Didn’t expect it!

    Fairly sure that the 2 year deal was vital.
    Not going to uproot his family from Scotland for a year deal.
    The first step in a massive 2 months before next season starts.
